Alterations to the Scale of Fares, Rates, and Charges in Force
upon the New Zealand Government Railways.
IN pursuance of all powers and authorities enabling me
under the Government Railways Act, 1908, and its
amendments, I, William Ferguson Massey, Minister of Rail-
ways, do hereby make the following alterations in the scale
of fares, rates, and charges in force on the New Zealand
Government railways open for traffic, such alterations to
come into force on and after the 24th day of May, 1920.

CANCEL— (Page 58.)
(13.) NATIVE COAL FOR EXPORT TO PLACES OUTSIDE THE
DOMINION OF NEW ZEALAND.
Native coal (brown, anthracite or bituminous) for export to
places outside the Dominion of New Zealand, consigned from
collieries to vessels clearing for ports beyond the Dominion
of New Zealand, will be charged 25 per cent. less than the
classified or local rates.

Goods booked through between Wellington and stations
between Picton and Blenheim inclusive, and between the

mediate stations to Wellington and shipped from Picton will
be charged 2s. 3d. per sack for conveyance by rail and steamer,
including wharfage and unloading at Picton.
Consignors or consignees to make their own arrangements
for shipping.
Goods not otherwise provided for will be charged according
to ship’s bill of lading, or by weight or measurement, at the
option of the Railway Department.

THE master of the s.s. “Booral” reports having passed,
on the 16th May, in lat. 41° 33′ S., long. 139° 43′ E.,
a floating object like long and short spars, which is dangerous
to navigation.

REFERRING to Notice to Mariners No. 77, of the
6th August, 1914, the Auckland Harbour Board has
notified that on and after Monday, the 24th instant, the
inner or westernmost beacon in Tamaki River will be changed
from red to white.

NOTICE is hereby given that suction dredge No. 1 is now
moored north-north-east (magnetic) approximately
500 ft. from the north-east corner of the Freeman’s Bay
Reclamation, and has six moorings laid out in north, south,
east, and west directions.
