authorized to be raised by the said Council, under the provisions of the said Act and of the Public Works Act, 1908, and its statutory amendments, and all other powers it in that behalf enabling, for the purpose of constructing a bridge over the Waingawa River between Carterton and Masterton, and of the approaches and protective works and all compensation for land taken in connection therewith, as the said bridge approaches and protective works are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. No. 46186, deposited in the office of the Minister for Public Works in Wellington, such sum of £3,500 being the amount necessary to enable the Wairarapa South County Council to comply with the Governor’s Warrant dated 14th August, 1918, published in the New Zealand Gazette for 22nd August, 1918, No. 112, without taking a poll of ratepayers thereon, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-twentieth of a penny in the pound upon the rateable values of all rateable property within the Wairarapa South County, comprising the whole of the said land within the boundaries of the said county; and that such rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

OPUNAKE TOWN BOARD.
ELECTRIC-LIGHTING LOAN, £7,000, 1920.—RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Opunake Town Board hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Opunake Town Board Electric-lighting Loan of £7,000, 1920, authorized to be raised by the Board, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of constructing works, electric lines, and supplying light and power to consumers, the said Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one penny and two twenty-sevenths of a penny in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the Opunake Town District; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and one-half years (36½) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

MOTUEKA BOROUGH COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Motueka Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Motueka Borough Council Electric-lighting Loan of £10,000, 1920, authorized to be raised by the Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of the construction, erection, and installation of a power-house building and suction gas plant for generating and supplying electricity for lighting and other purposes, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one penny (1d.) in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Motueka; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st days of April and October in each year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half (36½) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

FEATHERSTON COUNTY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION LEVYING SPECIAL RATE.—ROAD MACHINERY AND PLANT LOAN.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Featherston County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Featherston County Council Road Machinery and Plant Loan of £6,500, 1920, authorized to be raised by the Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of purchasing road-making machinery and plant, and housing-accommodation for same, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one twenty-sixth of a penny in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the County of Featherston; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of June in each year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half years (36½), or until the loan is fully paid off.

FEATHERSTON COUNTY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION LEVYING SPECIAL RATE.—LAKE FERRY BUILDING LOAN.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Featherston County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Featherston County Council Lake Ferry Building Loan of £2,000, 1920, authorized to be raised by the Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of erecting an accommodation-house on the Lake Ferry Reserve, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one seventy-fifth of a penny in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the County of Featherston; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of June in each year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half (36½) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

CLIFTON COUNTY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by section 16 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Counties Act, 1908, and the amendments thereof, and any other Acts it enabling, and with the consent of the ratepayers of the Mangahia Special Rating Area as testified by a petition signed by not less than three-fourths of the ratepayers of the said special rating area the capital value of whose properties as appearing on the valuation roll of the said district is collectively greater than the capital values of the ratepayers who did not so consent, the Clifton County Council hereby resolves that, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of £1,300, authorized to be raised by the said Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the metalling of the Mangahia Road and the purposes incidental thereto, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one penny (1d.) in the pound upon the rateable property of the said Mangahia Special Rating Area, comprising part Section 6, Block XI, Mimi Survey District; part Section 6, Block XI, Mimi Survey District; Section 4, Block XII, Mimi Survey District; Section 1, Block XII, Mimi Survey District; Sections 7 and 8, Block XI, Mimi Survey District; parts Sections 4 and 5, Block XI, Mimi Survey District; Sections 14 and 15, Block XI, Mimi Survey District. And that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of February in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Eketahuna County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect of principal and interest and also the other charges on a loan of two thousand pounds (£2,000), authorized to be raised by the Eketahuna County Council, under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, for re-forming and metalling Haunui
