THE following notice, received from the Chairman of the Council of the County of Pohangina, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913.

POHANGINA COUNTY COUNCIL.
Result of Poll on Proposal to raise a Loan.
PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the Southies Bridge Special Rating Area, in the County of Pohangina, taken by written consent of the ratepayers in the said rating-area on the proposal of the Pahangina County Council to borrow the sum of £300 for the purpose of rebuilding Southies Bridge, the number of votes recorded for the proposal was 14, and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 3.
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that at a poll of ratepayers of the Borough of Tauranga taken on the 5th day of March, 1920, on the proposal of the Tauranga Borough Council to borrow the sum of £30,000 for electrical works, the number of votes recorded was as follows: For the proposal, 175; against the proposal, 53; informal, 2.
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

(a.) Making roads and footpaths, purchase of roadmaking machinery and erection of shed to store same, engineering fees and contingencies: £20,000
(b.) Purchase of road-metal quarry and quarry plant, and payment of all expenses in connection with such purchase: £2,000
