makes and levies a special rate of one halfpenny in the pound
on the rateable value of all property in the Kawa Drainage
District classed as Class “A,” as receiving or supposed to
receive immediate and direct benefit from the construction
of the drainage-works ; and a special rate of one-third of a
penny in the pound on all rateable property in the Kawa
Drainage District classed as Class “B,” as receiving or
supposed to receive less direct benefit from the construction
of the drainage-works. And that such special rate shall be
an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan,
and be payable yearly on the thirty-first day of March in
each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a
period of thirty-six and one-half years, or until the loan is
fully paid off.

OXFORD COUNTY COUNCIL.

SPECIAL RATE FOR LOAN OF £6,500 FOR IMPROVEMENTS.—
SPECIAL ORDER.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the
Oxford County Council hereby resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of £6,500, authorized to be raised by the
Oxford County Council, under the above-mentioned Act,
for one-third share in estimated cost of public hospital, erection
of bridge over Cooper’s Creek, erection of clerk’s house, water-
race, caretaker’s house, and Council Chambers, the said
Oxford County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate
of one-eighth of a penny (id.) in the pound upon the rateable
value of all rateable properties in the County of Oxford ; and
that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during
the currency of such loan, and shall be payable yearly in each
and every year during the currency of such loan, being a
period of twenty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

OXFORD COUNTY COUNCIL.

SPECIAL WATER RATES FOR RENEWAL COOPER’S CREEK LOAN,
£2,200.—SPECIAL ORDER.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Oxford
County Council hereby resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and sinking
fund on renewal of loan raised under the above-mentioned
Act, the said Oxford County Council hereby makes and levies
a special rate of one penny and one farthing in the pound
upon all rateable property in the Cooper’s Creek Area; and
that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during
the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly in each and
every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of
twenty-one (21) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

WAIPAWA BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the
Waipawa Borough Council hereby resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in re-
spect of principal and interest and other charges on a loan
of one thousand six hundred pounds (£1,600), authorized to
be raised by the Waipawa Borough Council, under the Local
Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, for a public work—namely, the
construction of waterworks for the supply of water as an
extension or enlargement of the existing Waipawa Borough
waterworks and sewerage system, and for that purpose to
construct an additional reservoir or reservoirs for storing
water, and to purchase all such piping, fittings, appliances,
and materials, and do all such work as may be deemed neces-
sary for the proper completion of such work—the said Wai-
pawa Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special
rate of one-fifth of a penny in the pound upon the rateable
value of all rateable property of the Borough of Waipawa,
comprising the whole of the said Borough of Waipawa ; and
that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during
the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first
day of April in each and every year during the currency of
such loan, being a period of thirty-six and one-half years, or
until the loan is fully paid off.

[RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the
Waipawa Borough Council hereby resolves as follows :-
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of four hundred pounds (£400), authorized
to be raised by the Waipawa Borough Council, under the
above-mentioned Act, for a public work—namely, the erec-
tion and equipment of a public morgue—the said Waipawa
Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of
one-twentieth of a penny in the pound upon the rateable
value of all rateable property of the Borough of Waipawa,
comprising the whole of the said Borough of Waipawa—and
that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during
the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first
day of April in each and every year during the currency of
such loan, being a period of twenty years, or until the loan
is fully paid off.

CHANGE OF NAME.

JOHN WILLIAM WHITTFIELD WHITTFIELD,
heretofore called and known by the name of John
William Whitfield Gunther, of Masterton, Contractor, hereby
give public notice that by a deed dated the 7th day of May,
1919, duly executed and attested and filed in the Supreme
Court of New Zealand, Wellington District, Masterton Regis-
try, I formally and absolutely renounced and abandoned the
use of the said surname of Gunther, and declared that I had
adopted and intended thenceforth upon all occasions whatso-
ever to use and subscribe the name of WHITTFIELD, and
so as to be at all times known and described by the name
of WHITTFIELD exclusively.
