Schedule as at 30th November, 1919.
I. CHARLES FREDERICK THOMAS, Manager, do
solemnly and sincerely declare,--
- That the liability of the members is limited.
- That the capital of the company is £1,500,000, divided
into 1,500,000 shares of £l each. - That the number of shares issued is 1,500,000.
- That calls to the amount of 10s. per share have been
made, under which the sum of £750,000 has been received. - That the amount of all moneys received on account
of estates is £470,433 8s. 11d. - That the amount of all moneys paid on account of
estates is £458,706 18s. 6d. - That the amount of the balance held to the credit of
estates under administration is £11,726 10s. 5d. - That the liabilities of the company at the close of its
financial year (to wit, the 30th day of November last) were-

lieving the same to be true, and by virtue of the provisions
of an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand intituled
the Justices of the Peace Act, 1908.

(LIMITED).
NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general
meeting of shareholders of the above-named company
duly convened and held on the 15th day of March, 1920, the
following extraordinary resolutions were passed, and con-
firmed at a second extraordinary general meeting of share-
holders held on the 7th day of April, 1920:-
(a.) That the company go into voluntary liquidation.
(b.) That Mr. L. A. DENTON, of Hastings, Public Accountant,
be and is hereby appointed to liquidate the company.

ELSTOW DRAINAGE BOARD.
WAIHOU SPECIAL DRAINAGE AREA LOAN, £2,000.-RESOLU-
TION MAKING SPECIAL RATES
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, the
Elstow Drainage Board hereby resolves as follows:----
That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in
respect of principal and interest on a special loan of £2,000,
authorized to be raised by the Elstow Drainage Board, under
the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, for widening, deepening,
and improving present watercourses and drains, and con-
structing new watercourses and drains, within the Waihou
Special Drainage Area of the Elstow Drainage District, the
Elstow Drainage Board hereby makes and levies a special
rate (on a graduated scale according to the classification list
of lands) of 1.1/16 of one penny in the pound on the rate
able value of all rateable property in Class "A," one penny
in the pound on the rateable eable value of all rateable property
in Class "B," and three-farthings in the pound on the rate-
able value of all rateable property in Class "C," all of which
classes and the rateable properties therein are set out in the
classification list and valuation schedule hereto attached;
such graduated special rates shall be annually recurring rates
during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly
on the 30th day of of April and the 30th day of October in
each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a
period of thirty-six and one-half years, or until the loan is
fully paid off.
Boundaries of the Special-rating Area.
All that area in the Waihou and Manawarau Ridings of
the Piako County bounded by a line commencing at a point
on the right bank of the Waihou River at the north corner
of Section 6, Block XI, Aroha Survey District, and following
that river to the intersection of Wood's Road on its north
side; thence following along that road to the junction of
the Stanley Road on its western side; thence following that
road on its western side to the south-east corner of Section 4,
Block I, Wairere Survey District; thence following the south
boundary-line of the said Section 4 and also its western
boundary to the Waiorongomai-Mangakawa Road, which
along to the junction of main drain and road; thence follow-
ing a skew line across Section 17, Block XI, Aroha Survey
District, to Mikkelsen's Road, which along on its eastern side
to the junction of Taylor's Road, which along on its northern
side to the road forming the eastern boundary-line of Sections
256, 257, 262, and 263 of Waihou Township; thence following
along that road on its eastern side to the south boundary-
line of Section 92, Block XI, Aroha Survey District; thence
following a skew line across 92 and 924, and continuing on
in a further skew line across Sections 99, 3, 4, 100, and 101,
Block XI, Aroha Survey District, to the point of intersection
of Racecourse Road with Lovegrove's Road; thence follow-
ing along the south side of the Racecourse Road to the Race-
course Reserve; thence following a direct line across the said
reserve to the Stanley Road, and along that road to the
north-west corner of Section 6, Block XI, Aroha Survey
District; thence along the northern boundary-line of that
section to the Waihou River, the point of commencement.

stituted and held at Waihou on Friday, 9th April, 1920. In

PALMERSTON NORTH BOROUGH COUNCIL.
HOUSING LOAN OF £10,000.-RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL
RATE
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, the
Municipal Corporations Act, 1908, and its amendments, the
Housing Act, 1919, and any other authority it thereunto
enabling, the Council of the Borough of Palmerston North
here resolves as follows:-
That, for the purpose of providing interest and other
charges on a loan of ten thousand pounds (£10,000), authorized
to be raised by special order passed on the 12th day of
February, 1920, and confirmed on the 16th day of March,
1920, for the purpose of erecting workers' dwellings on any
land purchased, acquired, or appropriated by it for the
purpose, either within the Borough of Palmerston North or
adjacent thereto, for occupation by workers employed or
resident in the said borough, as published in detail in a local
paper circulating in the district, the said Council hereby
makes and levies a special rate of 3/32nds. of a penny in the
pound sterling (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all
rateable property in the Borough of Palmerston North, com-
prising the whole of the said borough as defined in the New
Zealand Gazette dated the 20th day of January, 1882: and
that such special rate be an annual-recurring rate during
the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the
first day of June in each and every year during the currency
of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half,
or until the loan is fully paid off.
