Proposal to declare Geraldine County Council the River Board
of Upper Orari and South Orari River Districts.

IT is hereby notified, for public information, that petitions
under section 118 of the River Boards Act, 1908, have
been presented to the Governor-General, praying that the
Geraldine County Council may be declared the River Board
in respect of the Upper Orari and South Orari River Districts.
All persons affected are called upon to lodge any written
objections to or petitions against the prayer of the said petitions
within one month from the first publication of this notice.
Such objections and petitions should be addressed to the
Minister of Internal Affairs, Wellington.

Approval of Fees for Licensing of Vehicles fixed by By-law.—

IT is hereby notified, in accordance with section 107 of
the Counties Act, 1908, that so much of the by-law
made by the Grey County Council, and sealed on the 24th
day of March, 1920, as appoints the several sums to be paid
to the Grey County funds for the licensing of vehicles
plying for hire has this day been approved by His Excel-
lency the Governor-General

APPLICATIONS are invited for the position of Assistant
Public Trustee in connection with the administration
of the Public Trust Office.
Salary, £1,000 per annum.
The appointment will be subject to the provisions of the
Public Trust Office Amendment Act, 1917, and the duties
to be discharged will be those indicated in that Act.
Applicants must be possessed of good organizing capacity
and experience in work similar to that performed by the
Public Trust Office both in respect to the administration of
estates and trust accounting.
Applications, which should be addressed to the under-
signed, and enfaced “Application for the Position of Assistant
Public Trustee,” will be received up to noon on the 30th
April, 1920.

gorse (Ulex europæus) to be a noxious weed within the
meaning of the Noxious Weeds Act, 1908, in the district
under its jurisdiction.
