any infectious or contagious disease; that no live-stock the
introduction of which into Fiji is prohibited has been on board
the said vessel since the shipment of the live-stock thereon,
and that during the voyage none of the live-stock to be
landed in Fiji has been taken or allowed on shore at any
place from which the introduction into Fiji of live-stock of
the same kind is prohibited. If any disease has shown itself
during the voyage the declaration must state the nature of
the disease, its effect on the animal or animals affected, and
the time during which each animal was affected.

CERTIFICATE AUTHORIZING THE RELEASE OF LIVE-STOCK FROM
QUARANTINE.
I, [Insert name], a veterinarian or Stock Inspector in the
employ of the Government of Fiji, having carefully examined
the live-stock of which is the importer, and which
are more particularly specified in the Schedule below, do
hereby certify that the provisions of the Foreign Animals
Importation Ordinance, 1886, and of the regulations there-
under have been duly complied with in respect of such live-
stock, and that the said live-stock are not in my opinion
infected stock, are apparently free from infectious and con-
tagious diseases, and may be safely removed from quarantine.

the Council of the County of Heathcote, are published
in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies' Loans
Act, 1913.

HEATHCOTE COUNTY COUNCIL.
Results of Polls.
In pursuance of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1908, I hereby
give notice that at a poll of ratepayers of the Cashmere
No. 6 Special Loan Area in the Cashmere Riding of the County
of Heathcote taken on the 24th day of March, 1920, on a
proposal to raise £16,000 for public works, the number of
valid votes recorded for the proposal was 49, and the number
of valid votes recorded against the proposal was 14.
I therefore declare the proposal carried.
IN pursuance of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1908, I hereby
give notice that at a poll of ratepayers of the Avonside Riding
of the County of Heathcote taken on the 24th day of March,
1920, on a proposal to borrow £12,000 for public works, the
number of valid votes recorded for the proposal was 73, and
the number of valid votes recorded against the proposal
was 13.
I therefore declare the proposal carried.

THE following notice, received from the Mayor of the
Council of the Borough of Woolston, is published in
accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies' Loans
Act, 1913.

PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913,
I hereby give notice that a poll of the ratepayers of the
Borough of Woolston was taken on the 31st day of March,
1920, on the proposal to raise a special loan of £1,850 for
the purpose of providing and installing the plant necessary
to undertake the efficient collection, removal, and disposal
of nightsoil, and other works in connection therewith.
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 88, and
the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 70.
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

Result of Poll on Loan.
I HEREBY give notice that on the 30th day of March, 1920,
a proposal was submitted by the City Council of Dunedin to
the ratepayers of the said city for raising a special loan of
£162,000 for the purpose of augmenting the water-supply
of the said city by bringing in the waters of Lee Stream, and
that the number of votes recorded respectively for and
against the proposal was as follows: For the proposal, 801;
against the proposal, 2,467.
And I declare the said proposal to be rejected.

I hereby give notice that a poll of ratepayers of the Paku-
ranga Road District was taken on the 27th day of September,
1919, on the proposal of the Pakuranga Road Board to
borrow the sum of £1,000 for the following object:—
For purchasing or constructing and erecting within the
said district a hall and building for holding meetings
and for the use of the Board's officers and for trans-
acting public business relating to the district, together
with the purchase of the necessary land or site therefor.
