CROWN LANDS NOTICES.

Pastoral Runs classified in Canterbury Land District.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Commissioners ap-
pointed to classify and report upon runs in the Canter-
bury Land District have classified the pastoral runs in the
Schedule hereto as therein noted, and the classification has
been approved by His Excellency the Governor-General
under section 225 of the Land Act, 1908.

Being Land suitable exclusively for Pasturage and not
capable of being used with Profit in Areas of a Carrying-
capacity of less than 5,000 Sheep.

Land in the Otago Land District for Sale or Lease to Discharged
Soldiers.

District Lands and Survey Office,
Dunedin, 22nd March, 1920.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned lands
are open for sale under the Discharged Soldiers Settle-
ment Act, 1915, and the regulations thereunder; and appli-
cations will be received at the District Lands and Survey
Office, Dunedin, up to 4 o'clock p.m. on Monday, the 24th
May, 1920.

The lands may be purchased for cash or on deferred pay-
ments, or selected on lease for thirty-three years, with right
of renewal for further successive terms of thirty-three years
and a right to acquire the freehold.

Applicants must appear personally before the Land Board
for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office,
Dunedin, on Thursday, the 27th May, 1920, at 10 o'clock a.m.

The ballot will be held at the conclusion of the examination
of applicants.

NOTE.—The deferred-payment instalment in the case of
Sections 2s and 5s includes payment for the buildings on
these sections.

IMPROVEMENTS.

The improvements included in the capital values of the
sections consist of boundary and subdivisional fences valued
as follows: Section 1s, £92 12s.; Section 2s, £84 14s.; Sec-
tion 3s, £63 12s.; Section 4s, £87 19s.; Section 5s, £147;
Section 6s, £69 5s.; Section 7s, £41 10s.

The improvements not included in the capital values, but
which have to be paid for separately, are—

Section 1s.—Cow-byre and stockyard on Section 5s, valued
at £50, to be paid in cash. These buildings must be removed
by the lessee of Section 1s and re-erected on his allotment
at his own cost.

Section 2s.—Implement-shed, valued at £100, payable in
cash or in five years by ten half-yearly payments of £11 11s.
This building must be removed by the lessee of Section 2s
and re-erected on his allotment at his own cost. Total
half-yearly payment on lease, £97 19s. See provision re-
lating to water on Section 5s.

Section 3s.—Part of gable-end shed now on Section 5s,
valued at £30, to be paid in cash. This building must be
removed by the lessee of Section 3s and re-erected on his
allotment at his own cost.

Section 4s.—Old hut on stone piles now on Allotment 5s,
valued at £10, to be paid in cash. This building must be
removed by the lessee of Section 4s and re-erected on his
allotment at his own cost. See provision relating to water
on Section 5s.

Section 5s.—Dwellinghouse, fowl-house and run, small
windmill, white stone stable, shearing-shed, coal-house, wood-
shed, two loose-boxes, stone cottage, piggery and killing
shed, sheep dip and yards, windmill and pipes, tool-house,
meat-house, dairy, smithy, valued at £2,960, payable in cash
or in twenty-one years by forty-two half-yearly instalments
of £115 8s. 10d. Total half-yearly payment on lease, £326
18s. 10d.

Section 6s.—Part of gable-end shed now on Section 5s,
valued at £30, payable in cash. Half-yearly payment on
lease, £79 17s. 6d.
