Domain Board appointed to have Control of the Pironia Domain.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this twenty-fifth day of February, 1920.

Present:

THE RIGHT HONOURABLE W. F. MASSEY, P.C., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by section forty of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is enacted that the Governor-General may from time to time, with respect to any public domain, appoint such persons (not exceeding nine) as he thinks fit to be a Domain Board having, subject to Part II of the said Act, control of such domain:

And whereas by an Order in Council made on the sixteenth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and twelve, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the nineteenth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and twelve, a Domain Board was appointed to control the Pironia Domain:

And whereas the period for which the said Board was appointed expired on the fifteenth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and nineteen:

And whereas it appears expedient to again appoint a Domain Board to control the said domain:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers conferred by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint

IVOR DANIEL PARSONS,
JAMES POWELL, and
WILLIAM GEORGE SIM,

as from the sixteenth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and nineteen, to be the Pironia Domain Board, having the control of the land described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of and subject to the provisions of the said Act; and doth hereby appoint Monday, the fifteenth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and twenty, at eight o’clock p.m., as the time when, and the Public Hall, Pironia, as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.

SCHEDULE.

KIMBERLEY DOMAIN.

ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 14 acres, more or less, being Reserve 1566, situate in Block III, Hawkins Survey District, and bounded northward by the road forming the northern boundary of Section 20205, 1400 links; towards the east by the said Section 20205, 1000 links; towards the south by the said Section 20205, 1400 links; and towards the west by the said Section 20205, 1000 links; the north-west corner being 971 links east of the north-west corner of said Section 20205: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1251/23A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon coloured pink in the margin.

WHEREAS the Franklin County Council is a body of persons having power to lease lands held in trust, reserved, or set apart for public purposes, and has requested the Governor-General in Council to declare it to be a leasing authority within the meaning of the Public Bodies’ Leases Act, 1908 :
