And whereas under the provisions of section forty-eight of the said Act it is enacted that the said Part III shall not apply to any industry unless and until the Governor-General, by notice published in the Gazette, declares that it shall so apply:

And whereas an application has been received from an employer in the dairy manufacturing industry for assistance as aforesaid under the provisions of the said Act:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of every power and authority enabling me in this behalf, and for the purposes of the aforesaid Act, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare that Part III of the Housing Act, 1919, shall and does apply to the dairy manufacturing industry.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Member of His Majesty’s Most Honourable Privy Council, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Knight of Justice of the Order of Saint John of Jerusalem, Governor-General and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies, at the Government House at Wellington, this twenty-fifth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and twenty.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section eleven of the Land Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby, with the consents of the owner and lessee of the land described in the First Schedule hereto, and of the Anama Road Board, being the local authority in whose district the said land is situated, proclaim as a road the land in Alford Survey District described in the First Schedule hereto; and also do hereby, with the like consents as aforesaid, proclaim as closed the road described in the Second Schedule hereto.


FIRST SCHEDULE.

LAND PROCLAIMED AS A ROAD.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land proclaimed as a road: 12 acres 0 roods 13 perches.

Being closed road; coloured red.

SECOND SCHEDULE.

ROAD CLOSED.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road closed: 5 acres 2 roods 27 perches.

Adjoining or passing through Reserve 2567; coloured green.

All situated in Block XV, Alford Survey District (Canterbury R.D.).

All in the Canterbury Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 47570, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section eleven of the Land Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby, with the consents of the owners and mortgagees of the land described in the First Schedule hereto, and of the Hawke’s Bay County Council, being the local authority in whose district the said land is situated, proclaim as a road the land in Maraekakaho Survey District described in the First Schedule hereto; and also do hereby, with the like consents as aforesaid, proclaim as closed the road described in the Second Schedule hereto.
