And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor-General, the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is required for a public purpose—that is to say, for a scenic reserve:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section one hundred and forty-four of the Land Act, 1908, and of all other powers and authorities in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, do hereby proclaim and declare that I hereby resume possession of the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto for the public purpose hereinbefore mentioned, the same being the land held under small grazing-run lease as aforesaid.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Marlborough Land District, containing 944 acres, more or less, being Small Grazing-run No. 115, situated in Block IV, Orieri Survey District.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Member of His Majesty’s Most Honourable Privy Council, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Knight of Justice of the Order of Saint John of Jerusalem, Governor-General and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this eleventh day of February, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and twenty.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS it has been found desirable for the use, convenience, or enjoyment of the Hurunui–Waitaki Railway to take further land in Christchurch Survey District, in addition to land previously acquired, for the purposes of the said railway:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by sections twenty-nine and one hundred and eighty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes above mentioned.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken: 2 perches.

Being portion of road, situated in Block X, Christchurch Survey District (Canterbury R.D.).

In the Canterbury Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 47539, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured blue.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is Crown land, and is required to be set apart for the purposes of a street in the City of Christchurch:

And whereas by section twenty-one of the Public Works Act, 1908, it is enacted that whenever any Crown land is required to be set apart for any public work the Governor-General may at any time, by Proclamation, set the same apart for such public work without complying with any of the provisions of that Act in respect to the taking or setting-apart of other lands for such purpose:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart for the purposes of a street; and I also hereby declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the twenty-eighth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and twenty.

Being portion of R.S. 41, Lot 4, D.P. 4220, situated in the City of Christchurch (Canterbury R.D.).

In the Canterbury Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 47840, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red margin.
