from 6 ft. to 14 ft., the said Waikohu County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of nine-sixteenths of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Moanui Special-rating Area, comprising Small Grazing-runs 90 and 89, and Lots 1 and 2 of Section 1 and part Section 1 of Block XV, Moanui Survey District; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

WAIKOHU COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Waikohu County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £1,500, authorized to be raised by the Waikohu County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for forming a dray-road, the said Waikohu County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of three-eighths of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Taumata Special-rating Area, comprising part Lot 2, Wharekopae 1a; part Sub. 2, Tahora 2c 1, Section 3; Lots 1, 2, and 3, Hangaroa-Matawai B4; Small Grazing-runs 76, 30, 77; Hangaroa-Matawai B1, B2, B3; Lots 11, 16, Tahora 2c 1, Section 3: and that such special rate shall be an annually-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

WELLINGTON CITY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Municipal Corporations Act, 1908, the Wellington City Milk-supply Act, 1919, and the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of £52,000 authorized to be raised by the Wellington City Council under the above-mentioned Acts for the purpose of providing funds for the payment of all compensation-moneys or purchase-moneys payable in respect of land taken or purchased under the provisions of the Wellington City Milk-supply Act, 1919, or for the construction or erection or acquisition of buildings, plant, machinery, tramways, railway-sidings, or other appliances or works required for the purposes of such last-mentioned Act or for advances to farmers supplying milk to the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Wellington, or for repaying moneys provided from the District Fund of the said Corporation for all or any of the foregoing purposes, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of three-fortieths (3/40d.) of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the City of Wellington; and that such special rate shall be an annual recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable in equal half-yearly instalments on the first day of April and the first day of October during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

WELLINGTON CITY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Municipal Corporations Act, 1908, the Wellington City Empowering Act 1908 Amendment Act, 1915, and the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of £30,000 authorized to be raised by the Wellington City Council under the above-mentioned Acts for the following purposes:—

(a.) The provision of a system of drainage for the Melrose District and for the Wadestown and Northland Districts.

(b.) For recouping all moneys expended prior to the raising of this loan by the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Wellington for the said purposes other than moneys produced by the special loan of one hundred thousand pounds mentioned in the Wellington City Empowering Act 1908 Amendment Act, 1915.

The Wellington City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of eleven-fortieths of a penny (11/40d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within those portions of the City of Wellington known as the Melrose, Wadestown, and Northland districts, as the same are defined in the Schedule hereto, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable in equal half-yearly instalments on the first day of April and the first day of October during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, bounded towards the north-east generally, commencing at a point where the production of the southern boundary of Section 3, Harbour District, Block XI, Belmont Survey District, meets high-water mark on the western side of Port Nicholson on the border of the Wellington-Hutt Railway land; thence by the said production and by the said southern boundary of Section 3 to a point where the western boundary of the Wellington-Manawatu Railway intersects the southern boundary of the said Section 3; thence by the Wellington-Manawatu Railway, a line bearing 26° 31′ 30″ distance 299 links, by the Military Reserve, a line bearing 49′ distance 355·1 links, by the Wellington-Manawatu Railway lines, bearing 311° 36′ 40″ distance 1,026 links, 277° 34′ distance 385·7 links, to the aforesaid southern boundary of Section 3; thence by the southern boundary of the said Section 3 to the Kaiwarra Stream; thence by the Kaiwarra Stream and its branch which forms the western boundary of Section 4, Kaiwarra District, Block III, Port Nicholson Survey District, to the southern boundary of Section 5, Kaiwarra District, by the boundary of the said Section 5 and the northern boundary of Section 8, Kaiwarra; and thence generally towards the west by the south-eastern boundary of Section 7, Kaiwarra District, Block III, Port Nicholson Survey District, and the north-western boundaries of Subdivisions I, II, III, IV, V, VI, VII, and VIII, Otari Native Reserve, and the south-western boundary of the last-mentioned subdivision and its prolongation to the right bank of the Kaiwarra Stream, and along the right bank of that stream to the northern boundary of the Waterworks Reserve; thence along the northern and western boundaries of that reserve to the northern boundary of Section No. 69, Block X, Port Nicholson Survey District; thence along the northern boundaries of Sections Nos. 69 and 70, the eastern boundaries of Sections Nos. 70 and 38, Block X aforesaid, the eastern boundary of Section No. 37, Block XIII, and its production to high-water mark of the sea; thence easterly and northerly along high-water mark of Cook’s Strait to the western boundary-line of original Section No. 13, Block XI, Port Nicholson Survey District; thence along the said western boundary-line to the northern side of Coutts Street and along the northern side of that street to a point in line with the western boundary of Allotment No. 19 on plan No. 1773, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Wellington; thence along a right line bearing 32° 50′ to the western boundary of Section No. 13 aforesaid and along the said western boundary to the northern side of a public road shown on Plan No. 1773 aforesaid; thence easterly along the northern side of that road to the south-western corner of Allotment No. 19; thence along the western boundaries of Allotments Nos. 19, 18, 17, 16, 15, 14, 13, 12, 11, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 4A, 3, and 2 shown on Plan No. 1773 aforesaid; thence along the northern boundary of the last-mentioned allotment bearing 86° 58′ 30″ and distance 62 links; thence along a right line through Allotment No. 1 on plan No. 1773 aforesaid bearing 354° 41′, distance 440·8 links, to the southern side of Old Farm Road; thence easterly along the southern side of that road to the western boundary of Original Section No. 9, Block VII, Port Nicholson Survey District, and along that boundary to the north-eastern side of Old Farm Road; thence along the said north-western side of that road to the southernmost corner of Allotment No. 45, Block I, shown on plan No. 1335, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Wellington; thence
