Station 69A, Taraponui ; thence by the leading spur and the southern watershed of the Waikare River to the sea at Moeangiangi ; thence towards the east generally by high-water mark of the sea to the middle of the Waimata River, being the north-eastern corner of Waimata Survey District in Akitio County ; thence by the northern boundaries of Waimata and Mount Cerberus Survey Districts and the northern boundary of Wellington Land District to the middle of the Manawatu River ; thence by the middle of the Manawatu River to a point in line with the summit of the Ruahine Range ; thence to and by the summit of that range to a right line running between Aorangi Trig. Station and the confluence of the northern branch of the Waipawa River with the Makaroro River ; thence by that line to Aorangi Trig. Station ; thence by a right line running in the direction of trig. numbered 32 to the middle of the Rangitikei River, and by the middle of that river to the place of commencement : and the conditions affecting the same, and also the form of license and the fee payable therefor.

REGULATIONS.

1. Red deer (stags only) may be taken or killed within the Hawke’s Bay Acclimatization District from the 26th day of March, 1920, to the 30th day of April, 1920 (both days inclusive).

2. Licenses to take or kill such deer may be issued by the Chief Postmaster at Napier, on payment of a license fee of £3, in the form prescribed in the Schedule hereto; and subject to the said Act and these regulations; provided that not more than one such license shall be issued to the same person.

3. No licensee shall take or kill more than three stags, and no stag shall be killed carrying antlers with less than ten points.

4. No hind or fawn shall be taken or killed on any pretext whatever; and no licensee shall allow any dog to accompany either himself or any attendant he may have with him.

5. Nothing herein contained shall extend to authorizing any person to sell any deer or portion thereof.

6. Regulations as to deer “tags” per New Zealand Gazette No. 40, Vol. I, of 20th May, 1909, page 1408, shall be strictly adhered to by each licensee, who, in addition thereto, shall return all unused “tags” to the secretary of the Hawke’s Bay Acclimatization Society, Napier, immediately he has finished stalking for the season for which such “tags” have been issued, together with a statement of the number of deer shot.

7. Any person committing a breach of any of these regulations shall be liable, on conviction, to a fine not exceeding £20.

Declaring Road-line through Land in Ratapiko Settlement Taranaki Land District, to be closed.

WHEREAS a report has been received from the Surveyor-General, from which it appears that the road described in the Schedule hereto is unformed and unused, and that the said road intersects land acquired under the Land for Settlements Act, 1908, and is not suitable to the subdivision of such land :

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of section eighty of the said Act, and of all other powers and authorities in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do by this notice hereby close the road hereinafter described ; and I do hereby declare that the said road shall thereupon become subject to the said Act.
