Defining the Middle-line of the Springfield Deviation of the Midland Railway.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the Railways Authorization Act, 1919, authorized the construction of the Springfield Deviation of the Midland Railway (hereinafter termed “the said railway”): And whereas it has been determined to construct and maintain the said railway:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by section one hundred and eighty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1908, and in exercise of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the middle-line of the said railway shall be that defined and set forth in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
COMMENCING at a point on the existing line at about 29 miles 10 chains on the railway chainage from Rolleston, and proceeding thence in a north-easterly direction generally for a distance of 1 mile 74 chains, and passing in, into, through, or over the following lands, &c.—viz., Lot 1, D.P. 4604, part of Reserve 1248; further part of Reserve 1248; Reserve 971; Rural Section 8771; Sections 1, 4 to 13, 22 to 33, 45 to 53, 63 to 73, 91 to 94, 113, 115, 117, 118, 121, 123, 125, 127, 129, and 130 to 135, shown on D.P. 244 and D.P. 439, being portions of Rural Sections 9113 and 11129; water-race reserve; further portions of Rural Sections 9113 and 11129; Rural Sections 9028, 9871, 14416, 27345, and 24932; Reserve 991; and terminating at a point at about 31 miles 3 chains on the said railway chainage: including all adjoining and intervening places, lands, reserves, roads, tracks, lakes, rivers, streams, and watercourses: all in Block XII, Kowai Survey District, Tawera County, Canterbury Land District. As the same is delineated on plan marked W.R. 26992, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Member of His Majesty’s Most Honourable Privy Council, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Knight of Justice of the Order of Saint John of Jerusalem, Governor-General and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this fifth day of February, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and twenty.

Land taken for the Purposes of Waterworks in Blocks III, VIII, and XIII, Taylor Pass Survey District.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken, under the Public Works Act, 1908, for a certain public work—to wit, for the purposes of waterworks in Blocks III, VIII, and XIII, Taylor Pass Survey District:
And whereas the Blenheim Borough Council has laid before the Governor-General a memorial, accompanied by a map in duplicate, and also the statutory declaration, as required by the said Act:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Municipal Corporations Act, 1908, and the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of waterworks, and shall vest in the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Blenheim as from the date hereinafter mentioned; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the fourteenth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and twenty.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section eleven of the Land Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby, with the consents of the owners and mortgagees of the land described in the First Schedule hereto, and of the Waimea West Road Board, being the local authority in whose district the said land is situated, proclaim as a road the land in Waimea Survey District described in the First Schedule hereto; and also do hereby, with the like consents as aforesaid, proclaim as closed the road described in the Second Schedule hereto.
