FENCOURT DRAINAGE BOARD.

DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENT LOAN, £2,500.—RESOLUTION MAKING
SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the
Fencourt Drainage Board hereby resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in
respect of principal and interest and also the other charges
on a loan of two thousand five hundred pounds (£2,500),
authorized to be raised by the Fencourt Drainage Board,
under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, for the purpose of
improving the drains in the Board’s area, the Fencourt
Drainage Board hereby makes and levies a special rate on
a classification basis of one penny in the pound on the rate-
able values of all land in Class A, of three farthings in the
pound on the rateable values of all land in Class B, and of
three-sixteenths of a penny in the pound on the rateable
values of all land in Class C, in the Fencourt Drainage
District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-re-
curring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable
yearly on the first day of September in each and every year
during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-
six and a half years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

POHANGINA COUNTY COUNCIL.

SPECIAL ORDER AUTHORIZING THE RAISING OF A LOAN OF
£700 FOR A WORKER’S DWELLING.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by the
Housing Act, 1919, and all other Acts in that behalf
enabling, the Pohangina County Council hereby authorizes
the raising, by way of special order, of a loan of £700 for the
purpose of erecting a worker’s dwelling for the use of the Coal
Creek Riding roadman. The said loan and the interest
thereon is to be secured by a special rate levied within the
Coal Creek Roadman’s Special Rating Area, the same being
the whole of the rateable property within the Coal Creek
Riding in the County of Pohangina, with the exception of
Sections 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 11A, 12A, Block II, Section 5, Block VII,
Section 34, Block VI, all in the Pohangina S.D. The loan
is to be for a period of 36½ years, and the interest thereon
to be 4½ per cent. per annum, plus 1 per cent. sinking fund.
The cost of raising the loan is to be paid out of the moneys
so raised.

AUCKLAND AND SUBURBAN DRAINAGE BOARD.

SPECIAL ORDER.

THE Auckland and Suburban Drainage Board doth
hereby by special order, in terms of section 62 of the
Auckland and Suburban Drainage Act, 1908, determine to
borrow the sum of twenty-five thousand pounds sterling
(£25,000).

The foregoing special order was made by way of a special
resolution passed at a special meeting of the Auckland and
Suburban Drainage Board convened by requisition of the
Chairman dated the 7th day of October, 1920, and held on
the 14th day of October, 1920. It was publicly notified in
the New Zealand Herald on the 16th day of October, 1920,
and the 1st day of November, 1920, the Auckland Star on the
22nd day of October, 1920, and the 8th day of November,
1920, and the New Zealand Observer on the 23rd day of October,
1920. It was confirmed at a special meeting of the Board
convened by resolution of the Board on the 14th day of
October, 1920, and held on the 11th day of November, 1920.
The common seal of the Auckland and Suburban Drainage
Board was hereto affixed this eleventh day of November,
1920, in the presence of

NOTICE is hereby given that on the twentieth day of
December, 1920, F. O’NEILL AND COMPANY (LIMITED),
whose registered office is at 256 Lambton Quay, Wellington,
duly passed the following resolution :—
That the company be wound up voluntarily; and that
JAMES McINTOSH, of Wellington, Public Accountant, be
appointed Liquidator for the purpose of such winding-up.

BOROUGH OF NEW PLYMOUTH.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the
New Plymouth Borough Council hereby resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of £60,000, authorized to be raised by the
New Plymouth Borough Council, under the above-mentioned
Act, for the following purposes, namely,—
(a.) To provide additions and extensions to the Council’s
electric lighting and power works, either within or
without the borough;
(b.) To supply electricity;
(c.) To acquire or provide in connection with such additions
and extensions, lands, easements, and appurtenances,
and buildings, tunnels, weirs, reservoirs, engines,
machinery, and other things;
(d.) To acquire or provide in connection with the Council’s
electric lighting and power works, and such additions
and extensions, lands and buildings for the purpose
of workers’ dwellings within the meaning of sec-
tion 325 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1908,
and generally to exercise the powers conferred by
the said section 325;
(e.) To pay compensation to any person or persons in-
juriously affected;
(f.) Any other purposes incidental or in relation to any of
the above-mentioned purposes :
The sum proposed to be borrowed for all such purposes
is £60,000, at a rate of interest not exceeding £5 10s. per
centum per annum, with a sinking fund of one and one-half
(1½) per centum additional :
The proposed security for the said loan of £60,000, and
the interest and sinking fund thereon, is an annually
recurring special rate of one penny in the pound on the
rateable value of all rateable property in the said borough,
and it is proposed to repay the said loan on the 1st day
of April, 1933 :
It is proposed to pay out of the said loan the cost of
raising the said loan, and the interest and sinking fund
thereon for the first year :
the said New Plymouth Borough Council hereby makes and
levies a special rate of one penny in the pound upon the
rateable value of all rateable property in the Borough of New
Plymouth; and that such special rate shall be an annual-
recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be pay-
able yearly on the first day of June in each and every year
during the currency of such loan, being a period of twelve
and a half (12½) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

charges on a loan of £1,300, authorized to be raised by the
Pahiatua Borough Council, under the above-mentioned Act,
for the purpose of erecting a dwelling on Lots 43A and 43B,
