Land taken for the Purposes of a Road in Blocks III, VII, and VIII, Waimana Survey District, Whakatane County.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of a road; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the fifteenth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-one.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken: 45 acres 1 rood 18·5 perches.

Portion of Waimana No. 1b, No. 1c, and No. 1d Blocks, situated in Blocks III, VII, and VIII, Waimana Survey District. (S.O. 20858.)

In the Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 49554, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand; and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this 11th day of December, 1920.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section eleven of the Land Act, 1908, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as a road the land in Wangapeka Survey District described in the First Schedule hereto, and also do hereby proclaim as closed the road described in the Second Schedule hereto.

FIRST SCHEDULE.

Proclaiming Native Land to be Crown Land under Section 14 of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1914.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section fourteen of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1914, it is provided, inter alia, that on being satisfied that the purchase of any Native land has been duly completed by or on behalf of the Crown under the authority of the Native Land Act, 1909, the Governor-General may issue a Proclamation that such land has become Crown land:

And whereas the purchase of the Native land set out in the Schedule hereto has been duly completed by or on behalf of the Crown under the authority of the Native Land Act, 1909:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority so conferred upon me by section fourteen of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1914, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim the land set out in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land.

SCHEDULE.

NGATIHAUPOTO No. 82A, being part Section 119, Block I, Opunake Survey District: Approximate area, 80 acres 1 rood.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand; and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this 7th day of December, 1920.

Adding an Office to the Administrative Division of the Public Service.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 8th day of December, 1920.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by section eighteen, subsection two, of the Public Service Act, 1912, it is enacted that the Commissioner may, whenever it appears advantageous to the Public Service so to do, certify to the Governor-General that it is expedient to add any office to or to abolish any office in the Administrative Division; and the Governor-General in Council may, upon such certificate, add any office to the Administrative Division or abolish any office therein:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby add the office of Assistant Comptroller of Customs to the said Administrative Division.

Amending Regulations under Section 41 of the Finance Act, 1916.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 8th day of December, 1920.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS, in pursuance of section forty-four of the Finance Act, 1916, regulations were made on the twenty-first day of August, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen, altering the restrictions relating to the issue of notes by banks carrying on business in New Zealand: And whereas those regulations were amended by Orders in Council made on the third day of December, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen, and the twenty-second day of November, one thousand nine hundred and twenty, respectively: And whereas it is desirable to further amend those regulations by extending in manner hereinafter appearing the limit of the note-issue of such banks as defined by the said regulations:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance of the authority
