Notice of Meeting of Owners under Part XVIII of the Native Land Act, 1909.

REGULATION No. 52.

THE Maori Land Board for the Tairawhiti Maori Land District hereby notifies that a meeting of the owners of Awapuni 1L Block is summoned and will be held, in pursuance of Part XVIII of the Native Land Act, 1909, at Gisborne on Wednesday, the 18th day of February, 1920, at 10.30 o’clock in the forenoon, for the purpose of considering the following proposed resolution:—

“That a lease of the Awapuni 1L Block be given to the Poverty Bay Golf Club for a term of twenty-one years, at a rental equal to 5 per centum per annum of the present capital valuation of the said land, and with the right to compensation for improvements; reserving, however, to the Native owners the right to set aside an area in the block for their sole use and occupation.”

NOTE.—The present capital value of the block is £1,590.
