inquiries respecting the same, and report to the Governor-General; and shall from time to time recommend what lands, whether Crown or private, shall be permanently reserved as scenic, thermal, or historic reserves: And whereas the said Board was duly directed to inspect and report on the land described in the Schedule hereunder, and has recommended that the said land should be permanently reserved for scenic purposes, and it is expedient to give effect to such recommendation:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers contained in the said Act, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereunder shall be a scenic reserve under the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908, and subject to the provisions thereof.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Taranaki Land District, containing by admeasurement 8 acres, more or less, being Section 15 (formerly portion of Section 7), Block XI, Tangitu Survey District. Bounded towards the north by other part of Section 7 aforesaid, 731·8 links; towards the east, south, and west generally by Okoroa Road, 3788·7 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 4/44, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered pink.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Member of His Majesty's Most Honourable Privy Council, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Knight of Justice of the Order of Saint John of Jerusalem, Governor-General and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this fifteenth day of December, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and nineteen.

Pukeora Military Sanatorium declared a Military Hospital.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon me by section five of the Expeditionary Forces Amendment Act, 1918, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto, which has been permanently reserved for a site for a hospital, together with all buildings on the said land, to be a military hospital available for the purpose of the medical treatment of members of the Expeditionary Forces and of persons who have been discharged from an Expeditionary Force.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, containing by admeasurement 326 acres 1 rood, more or less, being Section 1, Block XIII, Waipukurau Survey District. Bounded towards the north-west and towards the north-east generally by the Tukituki River; towards the south-east by Section 5, Block XIV, Waipukurau Survey District; and towards the south-west generally by a public road. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 26/1/56, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. As the same is shown in the Registry-book of the Hawke’s Bay Registration District, Vol. 4L, folio 198.

Proclaiming Native Land to be Crown Land under Section 14 of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1914.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section fourteen of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1914, it is provided, inter alia, that on being satisfied that the purchase of any Native land has been duly completed by or on behalf of the Crown under the authority of the Native Land Act, 1909, the Governor-General may issue a Proclamation that such land has become Crown land:

And whereas the purchase of the Native land set out in the Schedule hereto has been duly completed by or on behalf of the Crown under the authority of the Native Land Act, 1909:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority so conferred upon me by section fourteen of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1914, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim the land set out in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land.
