. Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power
and authority conferred upon me by section twenty-five of
the Reserves and other Lands Disposal and Public Bodies
Empowering Act, 1911, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile,
Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion
of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare the land
described in the Schedule hereto to be subject to the
provisions of section one hundred and twenty-seven of the
Land Act, 1908 ; and I do further fix two years from the
date mentioned in the said Schedule as the period for which
the said land shall be exempt from payment of rent.

the North Auckland Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.
I N pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon
me by section four of the Discharged Soldiers Settle-
ment Act, 1915, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of
Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New
Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the area of
settlement land described in the Schedule hereto shall be
and the same is hereby set apart and declared open for dis-
posal by way of sale or lease to discharged soldiers, under
special tenures, in the manner provided in the said Act.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—SETTLEMENT LAND.
Bayliss Settlement.
MIDDLE and west portion of Section 12, Block XII, Huke-
renui Survey District: Area, 201 acres 1 rood.

A PROCLAMATION.
I N pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by
section eleven of the Land Act, 1908, I, Arthur William
de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby, with the con-
sents of the lessee of the land described in the First
Schedule hereto, and of the Whakatane County Council,
being the local authority in whose district the said land is
situated, proclaim as a road the land described in the said
Schedule ; and also do hereby, with the like consents as
aforesaid, proclaim as closed the road described in the
Second Schedule hereto, which is not required.

(hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), a
Scenery Preservation Board is constituted, and it is enacted
that such Board shall, when so directed by the Minister
charged for the time being with the administration of the
said Act, inspect any lands possessing scenic or historic in-
terest, or on which there are thermal springs, and make
