thousand nine hundred and nineteen, being a newspaper
circulating in the proposed electric-power district:
And whereas after due inquiry the Governor-General is
of opinion that the petition should be granted subject to the
proposed boundaries of the district being altered as herein-
after appears:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl
of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New
Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority
conferred upon me by section three of the Electric-power
Boards Act, 1918, do hereby alter the proposed boundaries
and proclaim the district with the altered boundaries as
described in the Second Schedule hereto to be an electric-
power district, and I hereby assign to such district the name
of the "Banks Peninsula Electric-power District."
FIRST SCHEDULE.
ALL that area commencing at a point on the Ocean Beach,
the same being the outlet of Lake Ellesmere to the sea;
thence by a right line to the mouth of the River Halswell;
thence generally northerly along the left bank of that river
to the southernmost corner of Rural Section 1069, Block X,
Halswell Survey District; thence northerly along the south-
eastern boundary of that section and a line in continuation
of the said boundary to the centre of the Ahuriri Bush Road
South; thence north-easterly along the centre of that road
to the southern boundary of Rural Section 1901, Block XI,
Halswell Survey District; thence south-easterly and north-
easterly along the southern and eastern boundaries of that
section and northerly along the eastern boundary of Sec-
tions 1863 and 1093 to the summit of the Port Hills (being
the western boundary of County of Wairewa as defined by
the Akaroa and Wainui Road District, Akaroa County, and
Wairewa County Alteration of Boundaries Act, 1912);
thence towards the west and north-west by the summit of
the said Port Hills to the north-eastern boundary of Native
Reserve (Raupaki) at the western boundary of the Borough
of Lyttelton; thence towards the north-east by the western
boundary-line of that borough in a south-easterly direction
to the sea; thence by a right line to Church Bay; and
thence towards the north generally by the sea (being the
western and northern boundaries of the Mount Herbert
County as defined by the Mount Herbert County Act, 1902);
thence towards the north-east, east, and south by the sea
to the outlet of Lake Ellesmere to the sea, being the afore-
said point of commencement (being the north-eastern, eastern,
and southern boundaries of the County of Akaroa and the
County of Wairewa as defined by the Akaroa and Wainui
Road District, Akaroa County, and Wairewa County Altera-
tion of Boundaries Act, 1912): save and excepting thereout
336 acres, being the Rural Sections 246, 498, 1333, and part
of Rural Section 2402, now part of the Borough of Lyttelton
(see Lyttelton Borough Extension Act, 1911, and Lyttelton
Borough Extension Amendment Act, 1915), registered in
Christchurch Land Registry Office as certificate of title, Vol.
293, folio 153.
SECOND SCHEDULE.
BANKS PENINSULA ELECTRIC-POWER DISTRICT.
ALL that area commencing at a point on the Ocean Beach,

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS it is provided by section three of the Electric-
power Boards Act, 1918, that any area or areas of
land may be constituted an electric-power district or outer
area of such district under the said Act, and in the manner
therein provided:
And whereas a petition praying that the area described in
the First Schedule hereto may be constituted an electric-
power district under the said Act, and that the area described
in the Second Schedule hereto may be constituted an outer
area of such electric-power district, was presented to the
Governor-General on the twenty-seventh day of November,
one thousand nine hundred and nineteen:
And whereas such petition was publicly notified in the
Waipa Post dated the ninth and eleventh days of October,
one thousand nine hundred and nineteen, being a newspaper
circulating in the proposed electric-power district:
And whereas after due inquiry the Governor-General is of
opinion that the petition should be granted subject to the
proposed boundaries of the district being altered as herein-
after appears:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of
Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New

FIRST SCHEDULE.
ALL that area of land in the Auckland Land District com-
prising the Mangapiko Riding and portion of the Hamilton
Riding of the Waipa County, portion of the Te Rauamoa
Riding of the Waitomo County, the town districts of Ohaupo
and Kihikihi, the Borough of Te Awamutu, the road districts
of Rangiaohia and Kakepuku, and portions of the road dis-
tricts of Pukekura, Wharepapa, and Parawera: Bounded
(commencing at the junction of the Mangaotama Stream and
Waipa River) by the northern boundary of the said Manga-
piko Riding to its junction with the north-western boundary
of the Pukekura Road District; thence in north-easterly
and south-easterly directions, following the last-named bound-
ary to the westernmost corner of Allotment 362, Parish of
Te Rapa; thence again in north-easterly and south-easterly
directions by the north-western and north-eastern boundaries
of said allotment to the Ohaupo-Hamilton Road; thence to-
wards the north by said road to Mystery Stream; thence
generally in easterly and north-easterly directions by the said
