THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.
visions of the above-mentioned Acts and all other Acts and

work--namely, the construction of a public drain; and for
the purpose of such public work the land described in the
Schedule hereto is required to be taken. And notice is
hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to
be taken is deposited in the public office of the Clerk to the
said Board in the office of the said Raupo Drainage Board
at Ruawai, and is there open for inspection (without fee)
by all persons during ordinary office hours; and that all
persons affected by the execution of the said public work or
the taking of such land should, if they have well-grounded
objections to the execution of the said public work or to the
taking of the said land, set forth the same in writing, and send
such writing, within forty days from the first publication of
this notice, to the Raupo Drainage Board addressed to the
Clerk at his said office.

APPROXIMATE area of the parcel of land required to be taken:
1 acre 1 rood 20:4 perches.
Being portion of Section No. 62 (20481), Block XVI, Tokatoka
Survey District, County of Otamatea.
Coloured on plan: Red.
All in the Land District of North Auckland; as the same
is more particularly delineated on the plan (or plans) marked
2048l, deposited in the Head Office at Wellington, Depart-
ment of Survey, in the Land District of Wellington, and
thereon coloured as above mentioned.

HALSWELL COUNTY COUNCIL.
EXTRACT FROM THE MINUTES OF PROCEEDINGS AT A MEETING
HELD ON THE 1ST DAY OF AUGUST, 1919.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, and
in pursuance of section 3 of the Lake Coleridge Water-power
Act, 1915, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto
enabling, the Halswell County Council hereby resolves as
follows:-
That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of the
interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of five
thousand pounds (£5,000), authorized to be raised by the
Halswell County Council, under the above-mentioned Act,
for the purpose of erecting electric lines in that portion of
the county being Numbers 1 and 2 Ridings of the county
respectively, the said Halswell County Council hereby makes
and levies a special rate of one-sixth of a penny in the pound
sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital
value) of all rateable property in Numbers 1 and 2 Ridings
of the said county; and that such special rate shall be an
annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and
be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every
year during the currency of such loan, being a period of
thirty-six and one-half (36½) years, or until the loan is fully
paid off.
The common seal of the Chairman, Councillors, and In-
habitants of the County of Halswell was hereto affixed at
the office of and pursuant to a resolution of the Halswell
County Council in the presence of-

We hereby certify that the above is a true copy of and a
correct extract from the minutes of proceedings of the Hals-
well County Council at the meeting above mentioned, and
that the same was gazetted in the New Zealand Gazette on

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.
BARCROFT AND BOXER.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership hereto-
fore subsisting between PENROSE JOHN BARCROFT,
F.R.C.S.I., of Hastings, Surgeon, and ERNEST BOXER,
L.R.C.S.E., &c., of Hastings, Surgeon, practising at Hastings,
Hawke's Bay, as Surgeons and Medical Practitioners under
the firm or style of " Barcroft and Boxer," has been dissolved
as from the twenty-eighth day of June, 1919.
The said PENROSE JOHN BARCROFT has retired from practice,
and the practice will be carried on by the said ERNEST BOXER
alone.

OLD HAURAKI GOLD-MINES (LIMITED).
IN LIQUIDATION.
NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general
meeting of the Old Hauraki Gold-mines (Limited) duly convened and held at No. 108 Victoria Arcade, Queen
Street, Auckland, on the 17th day of July, 1919, the sub-
joined resolution was duly passed; and at a subsequent extra-
ordinary general meeting of the said company duly convened
and held at the same place on the 4th day of August, 1919,
the subjoined resolution was duly confirmed, viz.:—
"That the Old Hauraki Gold-mines (Limited) be wound
up voluntarily, under the provisions of the Companies Act,
1908."
And at the last above-named meeting HENRY GILFILLAN,
of Auckland, was appointed Liquidator for the purpose of
such winding-up.

RANGIAOHIA ROAD BOARD.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE re £5,000 METALLING
LOAN.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, the Rangia-
ohia Road Board hereby resolves as follows:-
That, for the purpose of providing for the interest and
other charges on a loan of £5,000, authorized to be raised by
the Rangiaohia Road Board, under the above-mentioned Act,
for the purpose of metalling roads in the Rangiaohia Road
District for the first time, the said Rangiaohia Road Board
hereby makes and levies a special rate of three-sixteenths of
a penny in the pound on the rateable value of all rateable
property in the Rangiaohia Road District; and that such
special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the cur-
rency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of
August in each and every year during the currency of such
loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully
paid off.
I hereby certify that the above resolution was passed at a
properly constituted meeting of the Rangiaohia Road Board
held on the 2nd day of August, 1919.
