Letters of Naturalization issued.

HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to issue letters of naturalization, under the Aliens Act, 1908, in favour of the undermentioned persons :—

Notice respecting Proposed Alteration of Boundaries of the City of Wellington.

Wellington, 6th August, 1919.
PURSUANT to section 14 of the Municipal Corporations Amendment Act, 1913, it is hereby notified that a petition, in accordance with regulations, signed by not less than one-fourth of the electors of the area described in the Schedule hereto, being a part of the City of Wellington, has been presented to His Excellency the Governor-General praying that the said area may be excluded from the said city and included in the County of Makara. All persons affected are hereby called upon to lodge any written objections to or petitions against the proposed alteration within one month from the first publication of this notice. Such objections or petitions are to be addressed and forwarded to the Minister of Internal Affairs, Wellington.
SCHEDULE.
AREA PROPOSED TO BE EXCLUDED FROM THE CITY OF WELLINGTON.
ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, commencing at the northernmost corner of Section 11, Kaiwarra Registration District. Bounded towards the north-west by Section 128, Ohariu Registration District, across a public road, and again by Section 128 aforesaid to the westernmost corner of Section 9, Kaiwarra Registration District; thence towards the north-east by Section 9 aforesaid; thence towards the south-east by Section 7, Kaiwarra Registration District, across a public road, and again by Section 7 aforesaid; thence towards the south-west by Section 11, Kaiwarra Registration District, to the place of commencement.

Result of Election of Trustees of a Drainage District.

Results of Polls for Proposed Loans.

THE following notices, received from the Chairman of the Castlecliff Town Board, are published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913.

CASTLECLIFF TOWN BOARD.
Notices of Results of Polls on Proposals to raise Loans.
PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that a poll of the ratepayers of the Castlecliff Town District was taken on the 15th day of July, 1919, on the proposal of the Castlecliff Town Board to borrow the sum of £25,000 (to be known as “The Water Drainage and Street Improvements Loan”) for the following purposes, and for matters incidental thereto :—
(a.) To establish a water and drainage system in the said town district;
(b.) For the formation, construction, alteration, and improvement of existing roads, streets, and footpaths in the said town district.
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 183, and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 10. I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

Pursuant to section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that a poll of ratepayers of the Castlecliff Town District was taken on the 15th day of July, 1919, on the proposal of the Castlecliff Town Board to borrow the sum of £3,000 (to be known as “The Bathing-shed and Domain Improvements Loan”) for the purpose of providing, constructing, and erecting a bathing-shed and public conveniences on the Castlecliff Domain, and for improving and developing the said domain.
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 150, and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 40. I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

Result of Poll for Proposed Loan.

THE following notice, received from the Chairman of the Council of the County of Franklin, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913.

FRANKLIN COUNTY COUNCIL.
Notice of Result of Poll on Proposal to raise a Loan.
PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that a poll of the ratepayers of the Paerata District Special Rating Area was taken on the 9th day of July, 1919, on the proposal of the Franklin County Council to borrow the sum of £6,000 for the purpose of construction of roads within the Paerata District Special Rating Area.
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 17, and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 19. I therefore declare that the proposal was rejected.

THE following notice, received from the Chairman of the Bull’s Town Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913.

BULL’S TOWN BOARD.
Notice of Result of Poll on Proposal to raise a Loan.
PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that a poll of the ratepayers of the Bull’s Town District was taken on the 28th July, 1919, on the proposal of the Town Board to borrow the sum of £5,000 for the purchase of Mr. F. J. Mansell’s electric-light plant.
The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 63, and the number of votes recorded for the proposal was 52. I therefore declare the proposal was lost.
