All in the Auckland Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 46221, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

A PROCLAMATION.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section eleven of the Land Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby, with the consents of the owner and mortgagee of the land described in the First Schedule hereto, and of the Vincent County Council, being the local authority in whose district the said land is situated, proclaim as a road the land in Tarras Survey District described in the First Schedule hereto; and also do hereby, with the like consents as aforesaid, proclaim as closed the road described in the Second Schedule hereto.
FIRST SCHEDULE.
LAND PROCLAIMED AS A ROAD.
Approximate area of the piece of land proclaimed as a road: 2 acres 1 rood 6 perches.
Portion of Sections 26, 28, 29, and 30; coloured red.
SECOND SCHEDULE.
ROAD CLOSED.
Approximate area of the piece of road closed: 2 acres 1 rood 38 perches.
Adjoining or passing through Sections 23, 24, 25, 26, 28, 29, and 30; coloured green.
All situated in Block I, Tarras Survey District (Otago R.D.).
All in the Otago Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 46435, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken, under the Public Works Act, 1908, for a certain public workโto wit, for the purposes of a road in Blocks XV and XVI, Opoiti Survey District, Wairoa County:
And whereas the Wairoa County Council has laid before the Governor-General a memorial, accompanied by a map and also the statutory declaration, as required by the said Act:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and the Counties Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of a road; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the first day of September, one thousand nine hundred and nineteen.

Consenting to the Raising of Loans by certain Local Authorities.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this fifth day of August, 1919.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by section twenty-six, subsection one, of the Appropriation Act, 1915, it is provided that, notwithstanding any Act to the contrary, it shall not be lawful or competent for any local authority or for any Harbour Board, during the present war with Germany, to borrow or contract to borrow any money (otherwise than by way of bank overdraft within the limit of its powers, if any, in that behalf), whether from the State Advances Office or from any other source whatever, and whether in pursuance of a special Act or under any other authority whatever, without the precedent consent of the Governor-General in Council:
And whereas application has been made for the consent of the Governor-General in Council to enable the several local authorities mentioned in the Schedule hereto to borrow the loans set out in column "B" therein;
And whereas it is expedient that the precedent consent of the Governor-General in Council should issue:
