Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Town Boards Amendment Act, 1908 (No. 2), and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that, on and after the first day of April, one thousand nine hundred and twenty, the Papatoetoe Town District shall not form part of the County of Manukau.

Prohibiting all Alienation of certain Native Land other than Alienation in favour of the Crown.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this twenty-ninth day of July, 1919.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

ON the recommendation of the Native Land Purchase Board, referred to in section three hundred and sixty-three of the Native Land Act, 1909, and in exercise of the power in this behalf conferred upon him by that section, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby prohibit, for the period of one year from the date of this Order in Council, all alienation of the Native land specified in the Schedule hereto other than alienation in favour of the Crown.

Regulation as to Disposal of Fish unlawfully taken, and of Gear, &c., used in unlawfully taking them.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this twenty-ninth day of July, 1919.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS it is provided by section eighty-four of the Fisheries Act, 1908, that all fish unlawfully taken, and the baskets or other receptacles thereof, and also all nets, gear, tackle, or other apparatus used in any unlawful fishing, whether found on shore or in any vessel or boat, shall be forfeited, and shall be disposed of as the Governor-General in Council by regulations prescribes:

And whereas it is desirable to make a regulation in regard to such disposal:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the hereinbefore-recited power and authority, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby make the following regulation.


REGULATION.

ALL fish unlawfully taken, and the baskets or other receptacles thereof, and also all nets, gear, tackle, or other apparatus used in any unlawful fishing, whether found on shore or in any vessel or boat, which are forfeited under the hereinbefore-recited section shall be disposed of as the Minister of Marine thinks fit.

Validating Proceedings in respect of a Loan of £900 proposed to be raised by the Patangata County Council.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this twenty-ninth day of July, 1919.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the Patangata County Council lately proposed to raise a loan of nine hundred pounds sterling, under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, for the purpose of erecting a bridge over the Manawa-angiangi Stream on the Toki Road:

And whereas public notification of the deposit of the special roll of ratepayers required by section seventeen of the said Act was not given on the first day of the deposit of the said special roll of ratepayers, as required by the regulations issued under the said Act:

And whereas it appears that the ratepayers have not been misled by such irregularity, and it is expedient to validate the same:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and in exercise of the powers conferred by section one hundred and eleven of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby validate the said proceedings, and doth hereby order and declare that the deposit of the said roll and the proceedings relative to such loan shall not be called into question by reason only of the irregularity aforesaid.
