Proclaiming Native Land to be Crown Land under Section 14
of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1914.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by section fourteen of the Native Land
Amendment Act, 1914, it is provided, inter alia,
that on being satisfied that the purchase of any Native land
has been duly completed by or on behalf of the Crown under
the authority of the Native Land Act, 1909, the Governor-
General may issue a Proclamation that such land has become
Crown land :
And whereas the purchase of the Native land set out in
the Schedule hereto has been duly completed by or on behalf
of the Crown under the authority of the Native Land Act,
1909 :
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power
and authority so conferred upon me by section fourteen of
the Native Land Amendment Act, 1914, I, Arthur William
de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim the land
set out in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land.

Crown Land set apart for the Purposes of an Automatic
Telephone Exchange in the City of Wellington.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto
is Crown land, and is required to be set apart for the
purposes of an automatic telephone exchange in the City of
Wellington :
And whereas by section twenty-one of the Public Works
Act, 1908, it is enacted that whenever any Crown land is
required to be set apart for any public work the Governor-
General may at any time, by Proclamation, set the same
apart for such public work without complying with any of
the provisions of that Act in respect to the taking or setting-
apart of other lands for such purpose :
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of
Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New
Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and autho-
rities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of
every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in
that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land
described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart for the
purposes of an automatic telephone exchange; and I also
hereby declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and
after the ninth day of August, one thousand nine hundred
and nineteen.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of Crown land set apart:
1 rood 24·45 perches.
Being Lot 1, part of Government Buildings Reserve (part o
original Thorndon Reclamation), situated in the City of
Wellington.
In the Wellington Land District; as the same is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 46371,
deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at
Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon
coloured red.
