Notice of Meeting of Owners under Part XVIII of the
Native Land Act, 1909.

REGULATION No. 52.

THE Maori Land Board for the Tairawhiti Maori Land
District hereby notifies that a meeting of the owners
of Nuhaka 2D 2B 2 Block is summoned and will be held, in
pursuance of Part XVIII of the Native Land Act, 1909, at
Nuhaka on Wednesday, the 13th day of August, 1919, at
10.30 o’clock in the forenoon, for the purpose of considering
the following proposed resolution:—
“ That a lease of Nuhaka 2D 2B 2 Block be granted to
Heni Rarere, of Nuhaka, Aboriginal Native woman, for a
term of twenty-one years, at the annual rental not to be less
than 5 per cent. of the Government capital valuation of the
said land, with right to compensation for improvements
effected thereon during the said term.”
NOTE.—The present Government valuation is £225.

242, 243, 244, 245, 248, 249, 250, 251, and 252 is summoned
and will be held, in pursuance of Part XVIII of the Native
Land Act, 1909, at Nuhaka on Wednesday, the 13th day of
August, 1919, at 10.30 o’clock in the forenoon, for the pur-
pose of considering the following proposed resolution:—
“ That Nuhaka 2C 2W, Sections 233, 236, 237, 238, 239,
240, 241, 242, 243, 244, 245, 248, 249, 250, 251, and 252, be
leased to Eru Turakitai Cooper, of Gisborne, licensed inter-
preter, for a term of twenty-one years, at an annual rental
equal to 5 per centum of the present Government valuation,
with right to compensation for all improvements effected.”
NOTE.—The present Government valuation is £35.

Turakitai Cooper, of Gisborne, licensed interpreter, for a
term of twenty-one years, at an annual rental equal to 5 per
centum of the present Government valuation, together
with right to compensation for all improvements effected
thereon.”
NOTE.—The present Government valuation is £324.

Notice of Partition of Native Land made under Section 27
of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1913.

Office of the Aotea District Maori Land Board,
Wanganui, 11th July, 1919.

NOTICE is hereby given, in terms of subsection (2) of
section 27 of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1913,
that at a sitting of the Aotea District Maori Land Board
held at Wanganui on the 20th day of June, 1919, the Presi-
dent of the said Board, exercising his jurisdiction as Judge
of the Native Land Court, partitioned the land known as
Waharangi No. 7A, owned by Te Rire Hohepa and others, as
under:—
(a.) An area of 4 acres, at the place where Tuirirangi te
Koau’s kainga is, having a frontage of 4 chains to
the river, the northern and southern boundaries to
be parallel and to extend back so as to include the
grave and the kainga, to be called Waharangi 7A
No. 1, and to be for Tuirirangi te Koau.
(b.) An area of 126 acres, being all the land in the south-
west corner of the block, having a frontage of 30
chains to the river; the northern boundary to be
generally parallel to the southern boundary of the
block, and to extend eastward to such a distance
that a line drawn at right angles to the southern
boundary will include to the west 126 acres; to be
called Waharangi 7A No. 2, and to be for Te Aki-
hana Rangitaroia and others.
(c.) An area of 783 acres, being the balance of the block, to
be called Waharangi 7A No. 3, and to be for the
remaining owners for the whole of their interests,
and Te Rautao Kuramate for four shares of her
interest.
Any appeals against the above partition must be lodged
with the Registrar within a period of six weeks from the date
of the publication of this notice.

1919, at 4 o’clock p.m.

LAND TRANSFER ACT NOTICES.

EVIDENCE of the loss of certificate of title, Vol. 128,
folio 278, of the Register-book, in favour of JAMES
WILLIAM HARPER, of Waikino, Battery Employee, for
part of Lot 4 on plan 2432, which said parcel of land is por-
tion of the block situated in the Ohinemuri Survey District
called Owharoa, having been lodged with me, and applica-
tion made to issue a provisional certificate of title, notice
is hereby given of my intention to issue a provisional certi-
ficate of title accordingly at the expiration of fourteen days
from the 17th day of July, 1919.
