I, WILLIE DONOVAN, of Wellington, Civil Servant, hereby give public notice that I have assumed and from henceforth on all occasions intend to sign and use and to be called and known by the name of “William Donovan” only in place of my present name of “Willie Donovan”; and, further, that such intended change of name is formally declared and evidenced by a deed-poll under my hand and seal bearing date the 17th day of June, 1919, and intended forthwith to be enrolled in the office of the Supreme Court of New Zealand at Wellington.

UNDER THE PUBLIC WORKS ACT, 1908.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Education Board of the District of Wellington requires to take for a public work—namely, a public school within the meaning of the Education Act, 1914—all that piece of land containing 4 acres 2 roods 5·4 perches, and situate in and being parts of Sections 9 and 13 on the plan of the Watts Peninsula District, and being the lots numbered 36 to 69 (inclusive) and 10 and 10A on the plan of the subdivision made by the owners of the Miramar Tramway Junction Estate.

And notice is hereby given that a plan of the said land is open for inspection at the offices of the said Board in Mercer Street, in the City of Wellington, and at the Kilbirnie Post-office.

All persons affected by such taking are hereby required to set forth in writing well-grounded objections to the execution of such work or the taking of such land, and to send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the said Board.

This notice is substituted for the notice first published on the 2nd day of September, 1918.

COUNTY OF WHAKATANE.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND.

In the matter of the Counties Act, 1908, and in the matter of the Public Works Act, 1908.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Whakatane County Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work—namely, roads; and for the purpose of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken.

And notice is hereby further given that plans of the said land so required are deposited in the Council Chambers at Whakatane, and are open for inspection (without fee) by all persons during office hours. All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such lands, who have any well-grounded objections thereto, must state their objections in writing, and send the same, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the County Clerk at the Whakatane County Council Chambers, Whakatane.
