THE following notice, received from the Mayor of the City of Auckland, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913.

CITY OF AUCKLAND.

Tramways Loan.

PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the City of Auckland taken on the 12th day of June, 1919, on the proposal of the Auckland City Council to borrow the sum of £1,250,000 for the purchase from the Auckland Electric Tramways Company (Limited) of the electric tramways in the City and Suburbs of Auckland, with the concessions, plant, properties, and other business assets of the company, and the further development and improvement of the undertaking, the number of votes recorded for the proposal was 2,265, and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 593.

I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.
