  1. The licensee shall keep any stopbanks and flood-gates which he may construct for the purpose of reclaiming the land included in this license in good order and condition, shall provide and maintain all necessary outlets for storm water, and shall reclaim the land within two years from the commencement of the license.

  2. The licensee shall keep the land included in this license free from noxious weeds.

  3. The licensee shall not assign, charge, or part with any right, power, or privilege granted by this license without the previous written consent of the Minister of Marine.

  4. The rights, powers, and privileges conferred by this Order in Council shall continue in force for twenty-one years from the date hereof, unless in the meantime such rights, powers, and privileges shall be altered, modified, or revoked by competent authority.

  5. If the licensee commits or suffers a breach of any of the conditions of this license, the license may be revoked and determined by the Governor-General in Council; and publication of a notice of such revocation in the New Zealand Gazette shall be sufficient notice thereof to the licensee, and all persons concerned or interested in this license, that it has been revoked and determined.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this twenty-fourth day of June, 1919.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the Vincent County Council, acting under and in pursuance of paragraph (e) of section sixteen of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, lately proposed to raise a loan of one thousand pounds for the purpose of constructing a road from Luggate to Hawea:

And whereas the ratepayers’ consent given under paragraph (e) of section sixteen aforesaid is irregular, in that two of the subscribing ratepayers have attested the signatures of the other subscribers thereto:

And whereas it appears that the ratepayers have not been misled by the said irregularity, and it is expedient to validate the same:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by section one hundred and eleven of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the ratepayers’ consent to the raising of the said loan shall be valid to all intents and purposes as though the same had been properly witnessed, and that the validity of the proceedings in connection with the said loan shall not be called into question by reason only of the irregularity aforesaid.

Withdrawing Land from the Operation of the Kauri-gum Industry Act, 1908.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this twenty-fourth day of June, 1919.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by section forty-six of the Land Laws Amendment Act, 1913, it is enacted that the Governor-General may, by Order in Council gazetted, on the recommendation of the Land Board, declare that any land comprised in a kauri-gum reserve shall, from a date to be specified in the Order, cease to be subject to the Kauri-gum Industry Act, 1908, and on and after the date so specified the land to which the Order relates shall become subject to the provisions of the Land Act, 1908:

And whereas the Land Board of the Auckland Land District has duly passed a resolution recommending that the portion of the Hohoura Kauri-gum Reserve Extension described in the Schedule hereto be excepted from the operations of the Kauri-gum Industry Act, 1908, and it is expedient to give effect to such recommendation:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon me by section forty-six of the Land Laws Amendment Act, 1913, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, do hereby order and declare that the portion of the Hohoura Kauri-gum Reserve Extension described in the Schedule hereto shall, from the twenty-sixth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and nineteen, cease to be subject to the Kauri-gum Industry Act, 1908.


SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 acre 2 roods 35 perches, more or less, situated in Block X, Hohoura East Survey District, and being part of the Hohoura Kauri-gum Reserve Extension, set apart by Order in Council dated the 12th day of April, 1899, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the 13th April, 1899. Bounded towards the west by a road, 200 links; towards the north and east by part of the aforesaid Hohoura Kauri-gum Reserve Extension, by right lines bearing 86° 1′, 500 links, and 165° 1′, 300 links respectively; towards the south-east and south-west by a road, 292·3 and 349·3 links respectively: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 22/2503, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red. (Auckland Plan No. 18538.)

ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 25 acres, more or less, situated in Block V, Opoe Survey District, and being part of the Opoe Kauri-gum Reserve set apart by Order in Council dated 20th day of December, 1898, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of 21st December, 1898, page 2073. Bounded towards the north-west by Section 9, Block V aforesaid, 1869·4 links; towards the north-east generally by a public road, 302·6 and 327·1 links, and the crossing of the said road, 107·2 links; thence towards the north, east, and south by other part of the said Opoe Kauri-gum Reserve by right lines due east 962·1 links, due south 534·9 links, and due west 907·5 links respectively; towards the south-east by the crossing of the
