Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred by section fifty-one of the Judicature Act, 1908, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council thereof, and with the concurrence of the Honourable the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of New Zealand and three Judges of the said Supreme Court, doth hereby make the rule set out in the Schedule hereto, and doth declare that such rule shall come into force and take effect on and from the twenty-sixth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and nineteen.

SCHEDULE.
167A. RULES 155 and 161 of the Code of Civil Procedure shall apply to parties who are infants, and the affidavit in answer to interrogatories or as to documents shall be made by the infant party or by his guardian ad litem, as the Court or a Judge thereof shall direct.

Amending the Boundaries of Land set apart for the Purpose of promoting the Systematic Recovery of Kauri-gum and other Valuable Products contained therein.

At the Government House at Wellington, this twenty-fourth day of June, 1919.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section three of the Kauri-gum Industry Amendment Act, 1915, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, do hereby set apart the Crown land described in the First Schedule hereto, and situated within the Mongonui County Kauri-gum District, for the purpose of promoting the systematic recovery of kauri-gum and other valuable products contained therein; and, with the like advice and consent as aforesaid, I do hereby exclude the land described in the Second Schedule hereto from the area set apart under the said Act for the purpose hereinbefore stated by an Order in

Council dated the eighteenth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and eighteen, and published in the Gazette of the twenty-eighth day of that month.

FIRST SCHEDULE.
AREA SET APART FOR THE SYSTEMATIC RECOVERY OF KAURI-GUM AND OTHER VALUABLE PRODUCTS.
ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, situated in Block IV, Opoe Survey District, and containing 2,080 acres, more or less. Commencing at a point on the northern boundary-line of Block V, Opoe Survey District, distant 2300 links from its north-eastern corner, bounded towards the south by Block V, Opoe Survey District, 4400 links ; towards the south-west generally by a right line to Norton’s Store, and by a right line to a public road at a point 3250 links in a south-westerly direction from its junction with the Kaimaumau Road; towards the north-west by the aforesaid public road and across the aforesaid Kaimaumau Road ; again towards the south-west by the last-mentioned road, 2054·7, 2919·4, and 400 links ; towards the west by a right line due north to the northern edge of the Waihuahua Swamp; towards the north-east generally by the northern edge of the aforesaid swamp to a point due north of the com-mencing-point : be all the aforesaid linkages more or less : save and excepting the Kaimaumau Road, which intersects the above-described area. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 22/1156B, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

SECOND SCHEDULE.
AREA EXCLUDED FROM LAND SET APART FOR THE SYSTEMATIC RECOVERY OF KAURI-GUM AND OTHER VALUABLE PRODUCTS BY ORDER IN COUNCIL PUBLISHED IN THE Gazette OF THE 28TH FEBRUARY, 1918.
ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, situated in Block I, Rangaunu Survey District, containing by ad-measurement 2,080 acres, more or less. Bounded, commencing at the northernmost corner of Section 3, Block I aforesaid, towards the south-east by the last-mentioned section, and Sections 2 and 1 in the said Block I, and Sections 9 and 8, Block IV, Rangaunu Survey District, to the southern boundary of Block I aforesaid; towards the southern boundary of the last-mentioned block to point twenty-nine chains distant from the south-western corner; thence towards the west by a right line due north to the northern edge of the Otaia Swamp; towards the north generally by the aforesaid northern edge of the Otaia Swamp to a point due north of the northernmost corner of Section 3, Block I aforesaid ; and towards the east by a right line due south to the point of commencement : save and excepting from the hereinbefore-described area a public road, and any residence or building sites held by license under the Kauri-gum Industry Acts which may be situated within the said area. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 22/1156c, and thereon edged red.

WHEREAS by section one hundred and thirty-three (a) of the Public Works Act, 1908, it is enacted that a local authority shall not declare any county road or district road to be stopped until the consent thereto of the Governor-General, by Order in Council gazetted, is obtained:
And whereas the Wairoa County Council has applied for such consent in respect of the road described in the Schedule hereto:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the above-in-part-recited Act, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of
