In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908; and in the matter of the KARAKA LAND COMPANY (LIMITED).

AT an extraordinary general meeting of the above-named company duly convened and held at the company’s registered office, West Street, Ashburton, on the 16th day of May, 1919, the following resolution was duly passed, and at a subsequent extraordinary general meeting of the members of the said company also duly convened and held at the same place on the 31st day of May, 1919, the following resolution was duly confirmed as a special resolution, viz.:—

“That the company be wound up voluntarily, under the provisions of the Companies Act, 1908.”

And at such last-mentioned meeting held on the 31st day of May, 1919, HUGO FRIEDLANDER, of Ashburton, Merchant, was appointed Liquidator for the purpose of the winding-up.

PATANGATA COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION STRIKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Patangata County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That; for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect of the principal and interest and also the other charges on a loan of £900, authorized to be raised by the Patangata County Council, under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, for the purpose of erecting a bridge over the Manawa-angiangi Stream, on the Te Tohi Road, the said Patangata County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 13/16d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all property of the Manawa-angiangi Bridge Special Rating area, comprising the following lands—viz., Section 1, Block XIII, Porangahau S.D.; Section 2, Block XIII, Porangahau S.D.; Section 1, Block XVII, Porangahau S.D.; and 1,600 acres of the north-eastern portion of Lot 2, S.G.R. 75, Block XV, Mangatoro S.D. And that such rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of July and the 1st day of January in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off.

I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true copy of a resolution passed by the Council of the County of Patangata at a meeting of the Council held on the 10th day of June, 1919.
