THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.

Notice by the Public Trustee under the Public Trust Office Act, 1908 (Part II), and its Amendments.

To the owner of the following land, that is to say: All that parcel of land, containing 2 acres, more or less, being Lots 32, 33, 34, 35, 38, 39, 40, 41, D.P. 624, part Rural Section 2765, Block VIII, Teviotdale Survey District, and being all the land contained in the Canterbury Register, Vol. 96, folio 198.

WHEREAS the Public Trustee has instituted inquiries, and has been unable to find the whereabouts of the owner of the above-described land or any agent of such owner in New Zealand:

Now, the Public Trustee hereby calls upon such owner, within six months of the date of the publication of this notice in this Gazette, to establish to the satisfaction of the Public Trustee his title to the said land; and if he fails or neglects so to do, the Public Trustee will exercise the powers and authorities granted to him in and by the Public Trust Office Act, 1908 (Part II), and its amendments.

The Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act, 1908.—Notice of Proposed Cancellation of Registration.

NOTICE is hereby given that, pursuant to an application in that behalf made to me by the Wellington Municipal Tramway and Electric Light Power-houses Employees’ Industrial Union of Workers, registered number 961, situated at Wellington, and in exercise of the powers in that behalf conferred on me by section 21 of the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act, 1908, it is my intention to cancel the registration of that industrial union after the expiration of six weeks from the date of publication hereof in the Gazette, unless in the meantime cause is shown to the contrary.

NOTICE is hereby given that the lease of the undermentioned land having been declared forfeited by resolution of the Otago Land Board, the said land has thereby reverted to the Crown, under the provisions of the Land Act, 1908, and the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915.

Land in Canterbury Land District for Sale by Public Auction.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned land will be offered for sale by public auction, for cash, at the Courthouse, Waimate, at 10 o’clock a.m. on Friday, 11th July, 1919.

SCHEDULE.
CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT.—BOROUGH OF WAIMATE.

SECTIONS 17 to 21, Gorge Road Settlement: Area, 2 acres 3 roods 36·8 perches; upset price, £50.
Flat land in the Town of Waimate, covered with broom.

TERMS OF SALE.

One-fifth of the purchase-money to be paid on the fall of the hammer, and the balance, with the Crown-grant fee (£1), within thirty days thereafter; otherwise the part of the purchase-money paid by way of deposit shall be forfeited, and the contract for the sale of the land be null and void.
Title will be subject to Part XIII of the Land Act, 1908.

Land in the North Auckland Land District for Sale or Lease to Discharged Soldiers.

North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office,
Auckland, 9th June, 1919.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned lands are open for sale or lease under the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915, and the regulations thereunder; and applications will be received at the North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, up to 4 o’clock p.m. on Monday, the 21st July, 1919.

The lands may be purchased for cash or on deferred payments, or selected on lease for sixty-six years, with right of renewal for further successive terms of sixty-six years and a right to acquire the freehold.

Applicants must appear personally before the Land Board for examination at the North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, on Wednesday, the 23rd July, 1919, at 10 o’clock a.m.

The ballot will be held at the conclusion of the examination of applicants.

Hokianga County.—Waoku Survey District.

SECTION 7, Block XII: Area, 203 acres 0 roods 29 perches; capital value, £150; instalment on deferred payment (excluding interest), £7 10s.; half-yearly rent on lease, £3 7s. 6d.
Altitude, 1,500 ft. to 2,000 ft. above sea-level. Undulating to hilly land, covered with heavy mixed forest comprising rimu, rata, towai, &c., with heavy undergrowth of punga, kiekie, and supplejack. Clay soil, on sandstone formation; well watered by streams. Distant about fourteen miles from Taheke by formed road.
