Appointments, Promotions, and Transfers of Officers on Active Service with the N.Z. Expeditionary Force.

HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to approve of the appointments, promotions, and transfers of officers on active service with the N.Z. Expeditionary Force, vide List No. 85, N.Z.E.F. Orders.

CANTERBURY MOUNTED RIFLES.

2nd Lieutenant N. C. Sheridan is granted the temporary rank of Lieutenant whilst attached to the N.Z. Provost Corps. Dated 28th February, 1919.

OTAGO MOUNTED RIFLES.

2nd Lieutenant A. W. Johnston to be Lieutenant, under provisions of N.Z.E.F. Regulation 13. Dated 25th February, 1919.

N.Z. FIELD ARTILLERY.

Major E. H. Northcroft, from Assistant Director of Education (U.K.), to be Director of Education, N.Z.E.F., vice Lieutenant-Colonel (temp. Colonel) H. Stewart, D.S.O., M.C., Canterbury Regiment, relinquished the appointment, and is granted the temporary rank of Lieutenant-Colonel whilst so employed. Dated 28th February, 1919.

2nd Lieutenant (temp. Captain) H. E. Wright to be Lieutenant, under provisions of N.Z.E.F. Regulation 13. Dated 28th February, 1919.

Lieutenant L. J. Ivory is granted the temporary rank of Captain whilst holding the appointment of Secretary to the Director of Education, N.Z.E.F. Dated 18th January, 1919.

N.Z. ENGINEERS.

Field Companies.

Lieutenant F. M. Corkill, discharged in England, is struck off the strength of the N.Z.E.F. Dated 17th February, 1919.

Tunnelling Company.

Lieutenant L. May (Adjutant) is granted the temporary rank of Captain. Dated 5th December, 1918.

ARMY POSTAL SERVICES.

2nd Lieutenant (temp. Captain) E. Oppenheim, from being seconded as D.A.D.P.S., XXII Corps, to be Assistant Director, N.Z. Army Postal Services, vice Major D. A. McCurdy, appointed Director of N.Z. Army Postal Services, and retains the temporary rank of Captain whilst so employed. Dated 26th February, 1919.

AUCKLAND REGIMENT.

Lieutenant (temp. Captain) W. C. Mackay, M.C., relinquishes the appointment of Adjutant, 1st Battalion, and the temporary rank of Captain. Dated 5th February, 1919.

The undermentioned to be Lieutenants, under provisions of N.Z.E.F. Regulation 13. Dated 13th February, 1919 :—
