Setting apart an Allotment in a Kauri-gum District for Selection.

LIVERPOOL, Governor-General.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section twenty of the Land Laws Amendment Act, 1912, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby set apart the land described in the Schedule hereto for disposal under the section of the Act mentioned.

SCHEDULE.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—MONGONUI COUNTY.
Mongonui County Kauri-gum District.
SECTION 2, Block II, Rangaunu Survey District: Area, 78 acres.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this twenty-third day of May, one thousand nine hundred and nineteen.

Trustees for the Wrey’s Bush Public Cemetery appointed.

LIVERPOOL, Governor-General.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by section four of the Cemeteries Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint

GEORGE WILLIAM ERNEST STROUD,
JOHN KELLY, and
WILLIAM JOSEPH EGAN

to be trustees, in the place of Thomas William Stroud and Thomas Power, deceased, and Timothy Driscoll, resigned, to provide for the maintenance and care of the Wrey’s Bush Public Cemetery, in conjunction with Michael Egan, James George Johnston, and William John Newton, previously appointed.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this twenty-sixth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and nineteen.

Withdrawing Land from the Operation of Section 20 of the Land Laws Amendment Act, 1912.

LIVERPOOL, Governor-General.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon me by section five of the Land Act, 1908, and every other power and authority enabling me in this behalf, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby revoke a Warrant dated the fourth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and fourteen, and published in the Gazette of the thirteenth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and fourteen, page 3128, in so far as it relates to Section 35, Block XVI, Otamatea Survey District, North Auckland Land District, containing twenty-three acres one rood twenty-six perches; and do hereby declare that from and after the date hereof the said section is accordingly withdrawn from the operation of section twenty of the Land Laws Amendment Act, 1912.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this twenty-second day of May, one thousand nine hundred and nineteen.

Amended Regulation in relation to Ordnance Services, New Zealand Military Forces.

LIVERPOOL, Governor-General.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authority conferred on me by the Defence Act, 1909, and its amendments, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby make the following additional regulation to those for Ordnance Services made on the twenty-third day of January, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the same date; and I do hereby declare that the regulation hereby made shall come into force as from the date of publication thereof in the Gazette.

SCHEDULE.

REGULATIONS FOR ORDNANCE SERVICES.
SECTION VII.—STOCK-TAKING, SURVEY, AND SALE OF STORES.
III.—Disposal of Condemned, Surplus, and Obsolete Stores.
AFTER paragraph 229 add the following additional paragraph:—

“229A.—All rifles and carbines, M.E. and M.L.E., long and short ·303 and ·22 in., rifles ·310 W.R. miniature, rifles magazine ·303 pattern 1914 E.R.A. Mk. I, authorized for sale will be stamped by the Armourer in the following position with the N.Z. sale-mark as shown below—

Thus, —>S<—

“Position.—On front top end of body, and on wood butt in front of tang-butt plate.”

Amendments and Additions to the Regulations under the Public Service Act, 1912.

IN pursuance and exercise of the authority conferred on him by the Public Service Act, 1912 (hereinafter called “the said Act”), the Commissioner, with the approval of the Governor-General in Council, doth hereby revoke clause one hundred and sixty-four of the regulations made under the said Act on the thirty-first day of March, one thousand nine hundred and thirteen, as amended by notice in the New Zealand Gazette on the tenth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen, and in lieu thereof doth hereby make the regulation set forth in the Schedule hereto.

The regulation hereby made shall have effect from and after the date of the publication thereof in the New Zealand Gazette.

SCHEDULE.

REGULATION No. 164 is hereby revoked, and the following regulation inserted in lieu thereof:—

LIMITATION OF CHOICE OF APPOINTMENTS.

  1. Appointments will be made according to the order of merit in the list of applicants who have passed the Entrance Examination :
