Land proclaimed as a Road, and Road closed, in Blocks I
and II, Pakawau Survey District, Collingwood County.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by
section eleven of the Land Act, 1908, I, Arthur William
de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby, with the
consents of the owners and mortgagees of the land described
in the First Schedule hereto, and of the Collingwood County
Council, being the local authority in whose district the said
land is situated, proclaim as a road the land in Pakawau
Survey District described in the First Schedule hereto; and
also do hereby, with the like consents as aforesaid, proclaim
as closed the road described in the Second Schedule hereto.

FIRST SCHEDULE.
LAND PROCLAIMED AS A ROAD.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land proclaimed as a road:
8 acres.
Portion of Section 39, Square 15, Block I ; coloured pink.

SECOND SCHEDULE.
ROAD CLOSED.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road closed : 6 acres 2 roods
26 perches.
Adjoining or passing through Sections 2 and 39, Square 15,
Block I, and Section 8, Block II ; coloured green.

All situated in Pakawau Survey District (Nelson R.D.).
All in the Nelson Land District; as the same are more
particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 45836,
deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works
at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon
coloured as above mentioned.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right
Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile,
Earl of Liverpool, Member of His Majesty's
Most Honourable Privy Council, Knight Grand
Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint
Michael and Saint George, Knight Grand Cross
of the Most Excellent Order of the British
Empire, Member of the Royal Victorian Order,
Knight of Grace of the Order of Saint John of
Jerusalem, Governor-General and Commander-
in-Chief in and over His Majesty's Dominion
of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and
issued under the Seal of the said Dominion,
at the Government House at Wellington, this
twenty-third day of May, in the year of our Lord
one thousand nine hundred and nineteen.

Land taken for the Purposes of a Road in Block XV,
Tutamoe Survey District, Cook County.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is
required to be taken, under the Public Works Act,
1908, for a certain public work--to wit, for the purposes of
a road in Block XV, Tutamoe Survey District, Cook County :
And whereas the Cook County Council has laid before
the Governor-General a memorial, accompanied by a map,
and also the statutory declaration, as required by the said
Act :

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl
of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of
New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and
authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908,
and the Counties Act, 1908, and of every other power and
authority in anyway enabling me in this behalf, do hereby
proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule
hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of a road; and I do
also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and
after the twenty-first day of June, one thousand nine
hundred and nineteen.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken : 2 acres 1 rood
16 perches.
Portion of Tutamoe No. 2, Block XV, Tutamoe Survey
District (Poverty Bay R.D.).

In the Hawke's Bay Land District; as the same is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 45616,
deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at
Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon
coloured pink.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right

Earl of Liverpool, Member of His Majesty's

Revoking Part of a Proclamation taking Land for a Further
Portion of the North Auckland Railway (Kirikopuni Section)
and for Road-diversions in connection therewith.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by the Public Works Amendment Act,
1909, it is enacted that if at any time after the issue
or making of any Proclamation or Order in Council taking
land under the Public Works Act, 1908, and before the payment
or award of any compensation in respect of the taking
thereof, it is found that the land or any part thereof is not
required for the purpose for which it was taken, or that any
error in form or substance exists in or in relation to that
Proclamation or Order in Council or the making or gazetting
thereof, the Governor-General may, by a subsequent Pro-
clamation or Order in Council gazetted, revoke the former
Proclamation or Order in Council, either wholly or so far as
he thinks necessary :

And whereas it is found that portion of the land taken for
a further portion of the North Auckland Railway (Kiriko-
puni Section), and for road-diversions in connection there-
with, by a Proclamation made under the Public Works Act,
1908, dated the twenty-ninth day of March, one thousand
nine hundred and nineteen (hereinafter termed "the said
Proclamation ") and published in the New Zealand Gazette
No. 40, of the third day of April, one thousand nine hundred
and nineteen, is incorrectly described :

And whereas compensation in respect of the land taken by
the said Proclamation has not been paid or awarded :

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of
Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New
Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in
me by the Public Works Amendment Act, 1909, and of all
other powers enabling me in this behalf, do hereby revoke
so much of the said Proclamation as affects the land described
in the Schedule hereto.
