NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND.
In the matter of the Public Works Act, 1908, and in the matter of the Counties Act, 1908.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Wairoa County Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-entitled Acts, to execute a certain public work—namely, the deviation of portion of the public road known as the Mohaka–Putere Road, and the necessary formation and construction work of the new line of road in connection therewith; and for that purpose the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken. And notice is likewise given that a plan of the said lands is deposited at the office of the said Council in Queen Street in the Borough of Wairoa, and is open for inspection (without fee) by all persons during ordinary office hours.
All persons affected are called upon to set forth in writing any well-grounded objections they may have to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said lands, and to send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the County Clerk at the office of the Council aforesaid.

All the said lands being parts of the Mohaka Native Block, situate in Block IX of the Waihua Survey District, in the Hawke’s Bay Land Registration District and County of Wairoa. As the same are delineated in plan deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor at Napier, under No. 594 (green).

KAITOKE PROSPECTING COMPANY (LIMITED).
IN LIQUIDATION.
NOTICE is hereby given that the meeting of shareholders of the above-named company will be held at the office of the Liquidator, 172 Featherston Street, Wellington, on Thursday, 5th day of June, 1919, at 8 p.m. in the evening, for the purpose of laying before the meeting the Liquidator’s account showing the manner in which the winding-up has been conducted and the assets of the company disposed of, and offering any required explanation, and also for the purpose of considering and, if thought fit, passing as an extraordinary resolution the following:—

“That the company be dissolved, and that the books of the company be disposed of.”

WAITOTARA COUNTY COUNCIL.
COPY OF RESOLUTION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Waitotara County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect of principal and interest and also the other charges on a loan of £1,150 (eleven hundred and fifty pounds), authorized to be raised by the Waitotara County Council, under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, for the purpose of metalling 98 chains of the Tokomaru West Road, to be called the Tokomaru West Road Special Loan of £1,150, the said Waitotara County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of seven-sixteenths of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Tokomaru West Road Special Rating District, comprising Lots 1, 2, 3, and part of 5, 6, 7, and 8, Kaiwhatu and Ruahine Blocks, D.P. 396, Blocks VIII and XII, Waipakura Survey District, and Block IX, Nukumaru Survey District; Lot 4, Kaiwhatu Block, D.P. 396, Block VIII, Nukumaru Survey District; part of Lot 5, Kaiwhatu Block, D.P. 396, Block VIII, Nukumaru Survey District; part Section 5, Ruahine Block, Block VIII, Nukumaru Survey District; Sections 26A, 26B, 27A, 27B, Block VIII, Nukumaru Survey District; containing a total area of 4,911 acres in the Nukumaru Survey District. And that such rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and shall be payable yearly on the first day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
I hereby certify that the above resolution was passed at a duly constituted meeting of the Waitotara County Council held on Monday, 12th May, 1919.
