HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to approve of the appointments, promotions, and transfers of officers on active service with the N.Z. Expeditionary Force, vide List No. 84, N.Z.E.F. Orders.

COMMANDS AND STAFF.

Lieutenant-Colonel (temp. Brigadier-General) G. S. Richardson, C.B., C.M.G., C.B.E., p.s.c., g., N.Z.S.C., returning to New Zealand on duty, relinquishes the appointment of G.O. in charge Administration, N.Z.E.F., and the command of G.O.C., N.Z.E.F. in U.K. Dated 10th February, 1919.

Lieutenant-Colonel (temp. Brigadier-General) C. W. Melvill, C.M.G., D.S.O., p.s.c., N.Z.S.C., to be G.O. in charge Administration, N.Z.E.F., and G.O.C., N.Z.E.F. in U.K., vice Lieutenant-Colonel (temp. Brigadier-General) G. S. Richardson, C.B., C.M.G., C.B.E., p.s.c., g., N.Z.S.C., relinquishing the appointment and command. Dated 10th February, 1919.

Brevet-Colonel (temp. Brigadier-General) G. N. Johnston, C.M.G., D.S.O., R.A., to command the N.Z. Division on the departure of Major-General Sir A. H. Russell, K.C.B., K.C.M.G. Dated 1st February, 1919.

Lieutenant-Colonel the Hon. R. Heaton Rhodes, Canterbury Yeomanry Cavalry, was attached to Headquarters, New Zealand and Australian Division, from 6th October, 1915, to 21st March, 1916.

Captain W. W. Averill relinquishes the appointment of Adjutant to Squadron Duties. Dated 9th January, 1919.

Lieutenant S. C. Reid, M.C., from Quartermaster, to be Adjutant, vice Captain W. W. Averill, relinquished the appointment, and is granted the temporary rank of Captain whilst so employed. Dated 10th January, 1919.

Lieutenant W. Austin, from Signalling Officer, to be Quartermaster, vice Lieutenant S. C. Reid, M.C., appointed Adjutant, and is granted the temporary rank of Captain whilst so employed. Dated 10th January, 1919.

Captain (Hon. Major) A. H. Wilkie relinquishes the appointment of Quartermaster, and is seconded for duty with N.Z.E.F. War Records Section. Dated 29th November, 1918.

2nd Lieutenant E. E. Scholes, M.C., to be Quartermaster, vice Captain (Hon. Major) A. H. Wilkie, relinquished the appointment, to date 29th December, 1918, and is granted the temporary rank of Captain whilst so employed. Dated 1st January, 1919.

Captain E. MacIntyre relinquishes the appointment of Adjutant. Dated 7th October, 1918.

Lieutenant W. Ricketts, D.C.M., to be Adjutant, vice Captain E. MacIntyre, and is granted the acting rank of Captain whilst so employed, to date 8th October, 1918, and the temporary rank of Captain whilst so employed. Dated 1st January, 1919.
