Notice to Persons about to visit London.
Department of Internal Affairs,
Wellington, 20th May, 1919.
IT is hereby notified for general information that the High Commissioner has cabled advice that persons contemplating a visit to London should be warned of the difficulty in obtaining hotel or other accommodation, and the high cost of such accommodation.
Berths for return to New Zealand are almost unobtainable, and it is estimated that at the present about 3,000 civilians are awaiting passages to New Zealand.
The High Commissioner is of opinion that about October the position will become easier.
