Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint

JOHN PARKINSON

to be an Inspector under the said Act in respect to the scenic reserves described in the Schedule hereto.

CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT.

Kaituna Valley Scenic Reserves.

RESERVE 3002, Blocks VIII and XII, Pigeon Bay Survey District: Area, 57 acres 2 roods.

Reserve 3064, Block VIII, Pigeon Bay Survey District: Area, 595 acres.

Reserve 3954, Block XII, Halswell Survey District: Area, 11 acres 3 roods 25 perches.

Reserve 3984, Block XII, Halswell Survey District: Area, 91 acres 2 roods 25 perches.

Reserve 3988, Block XII, Halswell Survey District: Area, 2 acres 0 roods 11 perches.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this eighth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and nineteen.

Lands temporarily reserved in the North Auckland, Auckland, and Southland Land Districts.

LIVERPOOL, Governor-General.

WHEREAS by the three-hundred-and-twenty-first section of the Land Act, 1908, it is enacted that the Governor-General may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the lands in the North Auckland, Auckland, and Southland Land Districts described in the Schedule hereunder written, for the purposes in the said Schedule specified at the end of the respective descriptions of the lands so intended to be temporarily reserved.

SCHEDULE.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.

ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, being Section 54, Parish of Whangarei, and containing by admeasurement 33 acres 2 roods, more or less. Bounded towards the south-east by a public road, 1515 links; towards the south-west generally by a public road, 1472, 721·3, 344·3, 579·3, 344·9, and 284 links; and towards the north-east by Section 56 and 57, Parish of Whangarei aforesaid, 2669 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 35166/26, deposited at the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red. For the conservation of the water-supply of the Borough of Whangarei, and for the growth and preservation of timber.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.

All that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 2 roods, more or less, being Section 42, Block I, Waihou Survey District. Bounded towards the west and north by Section 23A, Block I aforesaid, 250 and 200 links respectively; towards the east by Section 25A, Block I aforesaid, 250 links; and towards the south by Orchard Road, 200 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/3/147, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red. (Auckland Plan No. 17529.) For a site for public buildings of the General Government.

SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT.

All that area in the Southland Land District, containing by admeasurement 3 acres 0 roods 11 perches, more or less, being Section 8, Block IV, Town of Pukerau. Bounded towards the north by railway reserve, 504·5 and 1778 links; towards the east by Taylor Street, 306 links; and towards the south by Station Street, 2242·6 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/1/229, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. For railway purposes.

IN pursuance of the authority conferred upon me by an Order in Council made on the third day of August, one thousand nine hundred and fourteen, in pursuance of section two of the Post and Telegraph Amendment Act, 1910, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in the present state of war, do hereby authorize and appoint

LEONARD ARNOLD JAMES, Esquire,

of Wellington, to act during my pleasure as an Assistant Censor of Telegraphic Messages in respect of the telegraph stations at or near Wellington.
