WAITOMO COUNTY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the
Waitomo County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in
respect of principal and interest and also other charges on a
loan of £4,247 (four thousand two hundred and forty-seven),
authorized to be raised by the Waitomo County Council,
under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, for reforming,
culverting, remetalling, and generally improving the Te
Kuiti — Awakino Road from Te Kuiti Township boundary
to Piopio, the said Waitomo County Council hereby makes
and levies a special rate of five thirty-second (5/32) parts
of a penny in the pound on the capital value of all rateable
property within the Te Kuiti - Piopio Special Rating Area
No. 2 (comprising the whole of the district hereafter men-
tioned); and that such special rate shall be an annual-
recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be pay-
able yearly on the first day of October in each and every
year during the currency of such loan, being a period of
36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
The boundaries of the Te Kuiti - Piopio Special Rating
Area No. 2 are as follows: Commencing at the Te Kuiti
Township boundary at the north-east corner of Pukenui
No. 2T; thence in a westerly direction along the northern
boundary of the said section, the northern and western
boundary of Pukenui No. 2C, the western boundaries of
Pukenui 1B, Maraetaua 2B No. 1, to the north-east corner
of Section 15, Block VI, Otanake S.D.; thence along the
northern boundaries of Sections 15 and 2 of Block VI, Otanake,
to the south-east corner of Kinohaku East No. 2, Section 24B;
thence along the eastern boundary of the section to a point
at the block-line; thence following the block-line in a westerly
direction to the western boundary of Kinohaku East No. 2,
Section 24B; thence along the western boundaries of the
said section in a southerly direction, and following the western
boundaries of Kinohaku East No. 2 Section 24A, Kinohaku
East No. 2 Section 20, Kinohaku East No. 2 Section 15,
Kinohaku East No. 2 Section 16A, to the north-east corner of
Kinohaku East No. 2 No. 4B No. 1; thence in a westerly
direction along the northern and western boundary of the
said section, portion of the northern boundary of Kinohaku
East 3D No. 3, the eastern and northern boundary of Sec-
tion 1, Block VIII, Maungamangero, to the south-east corner
of Section 5, Block VIII, Maungamangero S.D.; thence still
in a westerly direction following the southern boundary of
Section 5, Block VIII, Maungamangero S.D., part of Section 6,
Block VIII, Maungamangero, to the north-east corner of
Section 14A, Block VIII, Maungamangero; thence along the
eastern boundary of the said section to its south-east corner;
thence to the county boundary with Awakino County in a
westerly direction following the southern boundaries of Sec-
tions 14A, 14, 15, 15A, Block VIII, Sections 6, 7, 8, 9, 10,
Block VII, and Section 7, Block VI, Maungamangero S.D.;
thence following the county boundary between Waitomo and
Awakino Counties in a southerly direction to its junction
with Ohura County; thence in an easterly direction following
the boundaries between Ohura and Waitomo Counties to the
north-east corner of Section 1, Block VIII, Aria S.D.; thence
in a northerly direction following the western boundaries of
Rangitoto-Tuhua 61D Section 2B, Rangitoto-Tuhua 61D Sec-
tion 2A, Rangitoto-Tuhua 61D Section 2B, and Rangitoto-
Tuhua 61D Section 1B, to the north-west corner of Rangitoto-
Tuhua 61F Section 1B; thence along the northern boundary
of the said section to the south-east corner of Rangitoto-
Tuhua 61I Section 2B No. 2; thence in a northerly direction
following the eastern boundaries of Rangitoto-Tuhua 61I Sec-
tion 2B No. 2, Rangitoto-Tuhua 61O 2B Section 1, Rangitoto-
Tuhua 61O 2B Section 2, and Rangitoto-Tuhua 61O 2B 3;
thence along the northern boundary of Rangitoto-Tuhua
61O 2B 3 to the south-east corner of Rangitoto-Tuhua part
61F No. 1; thence along the eastern boundary of the said
section to the Tikitiki Road; thence along the Tikitiki Road
in an easterly direction to the south-east corner of Rangitoto-
Tuhua 61E; thence in a northerly direction along the eastern
boundaries of Rangitoto-Tuhua 61E Section 9, Block V,
Totoro S.D., to the Mangapeehi Stream; thence following the
Mangapeehi Stream along the southern boundary of Section 4,
Block 1, Mapara Survey District, to the south-east corner
of the said section; thence along the eastern and northern
boundary of Section 4, Block 1, Mapara S.D., and the western
boundary of Section 1, Block 1, Mapara S.D., to the Mokau
River; thence following the Mokau River in an easterly
direction to the south-west corner of Section 2, Block VIII,
Otanake Survey District; thence in a northerly direction
following the western boundaries of Section 2, Block VIII,
Otanake, Pukenui 2K Section 1, Pukenui 2K, to the north-
west corner of Pukenui 2K; thence in a straight line to the
south-west corner of Pukenui No. 2G, cutting Pukenui No. 2H
in half; thence along the western boundary of Pukenui 2G
to the north-west corner of the said section; thence in a
straight line to the Te Kuiti Township boundary, cutting
Pukenui 2N in half, then along the Te Kuiti Township bound-
ary in a north-westerly direction to the starting-point.

VINCENT COUNTY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
NOTICE is hereby given that at a meeting of the Vincent
County Council held at Clyde on the 26th day of
February, 1919, the following resolution was duly passed:—
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Vincent
County Council hereby resolves as follows,—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of one thousand pounds (£1,000), authorized
to be raised by the Vincent County Council, under the above-
mentioned Act, for the purpose of constructing a road from
Luggate to Hawea, the said Vincent County Council hereby
makes and levies a special rate of three-eighths of a penny
in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property
of the special rating area, comprising that portion of the
Hawea Riding of the County of Vincent commencing at the
south-west corner of Lake Hawea, following the south shore
of the lake to Gladstone Township, thence along the south,
east, and north boundaries of Gladstone Township back to
the lake; thence following the east, north, and portion of
the west shores of the lake to East Burn; thence following
East Burn to west boundary of Run 430A northerly to Run
95; thence along the west boundaries of Runs 95 and 95A
to near the head of the Hunter River; thence following the
east boundary of Run 99A to Run 433; thence following the
north and east boundaries of Run 433 to Run 335B; thence
along the east boundaries of Runs 335B and 236; thence
along the south-east boundary of Run 236 to Trig. J, Lower
