Zealand for demobilization duty. Dated 4th December,

N.Z. ARMY SERVICE CORPS.
2nd Lieutenant (temp. Lieutenant) N. Bell to be Assistant
Director of Education, N.Z. Disabled Soldiers, and is granted
the temporary rank of Captain whilst so employed. Dated
6th December, 1918.
N.Z. MEDICAL CORPS.
Colonel D. J. McGavin, D.S.O., returning to New Zealand on
duty, relinquishes the appointment of A.D.M.S., N.Z. Divi-
sion, and is seconded. Dated 31st December, 1918.
Lieutenant-Colonel D. N. W. Murray, D.S.O., to be A.D.M.S.,
N.Z. Division, and is promoted Colonel, vice Colonel D. J.
McGavin, D.S.O., seconded for duty to New Zealand.

Captain W. G. Tweedy, M.B.E., returning to New Zealand for
demobilization, relinquishes the appointment of Secretary,
N.Z. Officers' Club, London. Dated 9th January, 1919.
Captain C. McB. Dawson is granted the temporary rank of
Major whilst employed as President of the N.Z.E.F. Medical
Board in Egypt. Dated 24th November, 1918.

Award of Colonial Auxiliary Forces Long-service Medal.

H IS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased
to approve of the award of the Colonial Auxiliary
Forces Long-service Medal to Squadron Sergeant-Major Edgar
Huie Burn, 12th (Otago) Mounted Rifles, he having a total
service, to the 28th February, 1919, entitling him thereto,
of twenty-six years two hundred and twenty-eight days.

THE following special order, made by the Whangaroa
County Council, is published in accordance with the
provisions of the Counties Act, 1908.

COUNTY OF WHANGAROA.
Notice of Special Order.
NOTICE is hereby given that at a special meeting of the
Whangaroa County Council held on Monday, the 13th day
of January, 1919, the following resolution was passed, and
will be submitted for confirmation at the ordinary meeting of
the Council to be held on the 14th day of February, 1919, at
2 o'clock p.m., at the Council Chambers, Whangaroa.
RESOLUTION.
In exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 23 of
the Counties Act, 1908, the County Council resolved, by way
of special order, as follows :-
-
The present division shall be divided into seven ridings,
to be called respectively Totara Riding, Otangaroa Riding,
Pupuke Riding, Kaeo Riding, Waiare Riding, Otoroa Riding,
and Whangaroa Riding, which said ridings are respectively
described in the Schedule hereto. -
The said Whangaroa County Council shall consist of
seven members, who shall be elected as follows : The electors
of the said ridings shall each elect one councillor.

SCHEDULE.
WHANGAROA COUNTY.-DESCRIPTION OF RIDING BOUNDARIES.
Totara Riding.
Commencing at the south-east corner of Lot l of Block I,
Kaeo Survey District (where it touches the Whangaroa Har-
bour); thence in a westerly direction along the south bound-
ary of the said Lot 1 ; thence in a north-easterly direction
by the western boundary of the said Lot I and the eastern
boundary of Lot 124 ; thence in a north-westerly direction
along the northern boundaries of Lots 124, S.E. 123, and
N.W. 123 ; thence in a south-westerly direction along the
north-western boundaries of Lot N.W. 123 and Lot 1, Block XI,
Mongonui Survey District, to the south-western corner of the
Totara Kauri-gum Reserve Extension; thence in a northerly
direction generally by the existing western boundary of the
Whangaroa County to the sea; thence in an easterly direc-
tion generally by the sea-coast to the mouth of the Whangaroa
Harbour; thence in a south-westerly direction by the middle
of the Whangaroa Harbour to a point marked X on the said
harbour (midway on a straight line between the Trig. Station
St. Pauls, on the eastern side of harbour, and the Trig.
Station Waipuna, on the south-western side of harbour);
thence by the centre of the Waihapa Bay to the point of
commencement.
Otangaroa Riding.
Commencing at the south-western corner of the Totara
Kauri - gum Reserve Extension hereinbefore mentioned ;
thence in a south-westerly direction along the existing bound-
ary between the Whangaroa and Mongonui Counties; thence
in a south-easterly direction along the existing boundary be-
tween the Whangaroa and Hokianga Counties to a trig.
station named Rata Kamaru; thence in a north-easterly
direction by the eastern boundary of the Kauri Putete Block;
thence in a north-easterly direction along the centre of the
road forming the south-east boundary of Lots 30, 31, 32, 33,
34, 35, 38, 40, 42, Pupuke Parish, to its intersection with the
Otangaroa No. 2 Block ; thence in a south-easterly direction
by the south-western boundary of the said Otangaroa No. 2
Block ; thence in a northerly direction by the eastern bound-
ary of the said Otangaroa No. 2 Block to its north-western
corner ; thence in a north-easterly direction by the eastern
boundaries of the Waihapa No. 3B Nc. 2A Nos. 1 and 2,
No. 3B Nos. 2c and 2D, to the north-eastern corner of the
said Waihapa No. 3B No. 2D; thence in a north-westerly
direction along the centre of roads forming the south-western
boundary of the Waihapa No. 3B No. 2E; thence in a north-
easterly direction by the south-eastern boundary of Waihapa
No. 3A to the Whangaroa Harbour; thence in a north-easterly
direction to the point X hereinbefore mentioned; thence in a
