A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS it is enacted by the Town Boards Act, 1908, that the Governor-General may declare that any locality outside a borough wherein there are not less than fifty householders shall be a town district:
And whereas a petition has been presented to the Governor-General by the inhabitants within the area mentioned and described in the said petition, praying that such area may be constituted a town district under the Town Boards Act, 1908:
And whereas a Commission appointed in pursuance of section two of the Town Boards Amendment Act, 1912, held an inquiry, and reported that the locality defined in the said petition was suitable for municipal control, and made certain alterations of the boundaries thereof:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me by the Town Boards Act, 1908, and of all other powers enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the area described in the Schedule hereto, being the locality defined in the said petition, with boundaries as altered by the said Commission, shall be a town district, and the same is hereby constituted a town district, under the Town Boards Act, 1908, by the name of the Papatoetoe Town District. And, in further pursuance and exercise of the said powers, I do hereby proclaim, declare, and appoint that the Board of Commissioners for the said district shall consist of seven members.

SCHEDULE.
PAPATOETOE TOWN DISTRICT.
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, situated in Blocks VI and X, Otahuhu Survey District, bounded, commencing at the westernmost corner of Lot 13, shown on plan deposited at the office of the District Land Registrar at Auckland, No. 9822, towards the north-west generally by Portage Road to the northernmost corner of Lot 27 on plan No. 9822 aforesaid; thence across the said Portage Road and by Buckland Road for a distance of 740 links; thence by a right line to a point on the western side of Station Road 1250 links from its junction with Portage Road; thence across and by the said Station Road to the south-western corner of Lot 2, a subdivision of part of Fairburn’s Grant, and registered at the Deeds Office, Auckland, in Vol. R. 221, folio 74, and by the last-mentioned Lot 2, by the North Island Main Trunk Railway to the southern side of Portage Road; thence across the said railway and the aforesaid Portage Road to the Tamaki River; and thence by a right line to the south-western corner of Allotment 14, Parish of Manurewa; towards the north generally by the said Allotment 14, by a portion of Allotment 36, Parish of Manurewa aforesaid, containing 8 acres 0 roods 21·2 perches, shown on plan deposited as aforesaid No. 3156, and again by Allotment 14 aforesaid to and across the Great South Road, and by the north-western boundaries of Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6, on plan deposited as aforesaid No. 6873; towards the north-east generally by the north-eastern boundary of the last-mentioned Lot 6, the crossing of a public road, by Lots 7, 21, 22, 23, and 25 on plan deposited as aforesaid No. 8105, and by the road forming the eastern boundary of Lot 26 on plan No. 8105 aforesaid to a point the production of the northern boundary of Lot 8, a subdivision of Allotment 18, Manurewa
