Warrant amending Regulations re Deer-shooting Season, Rotorua Acclimatization District.

LIVERPOOL, Governor-General.

WHEREAS by Warrant dated the twenty-first day of February, one thousand nine hundred and nineteen, regulations were made prescribing the deer-shooting season in the Counties of Rotorua, Whakatane, and East Taupo, being part of the Rotorua Acclimatization District (hereinafter referred to as “the said regulations”):

And whereas it is deemed advisable to amend the said regulations to the extent hereinafter set forth:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby amend clause three of the said regulations by substituting the word “ten” for the word “twelve” therein.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this twenty-sixth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and nineteen.

Special Order made by the Egmont County Council merging Parihaka Road District.

THE following special order, made by the Egmont County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Counties Amendment Act, 1913.

EGMONT COUNTY COUNCIL.

Special Order merging the Parihaka Road District in the County of Egmont.

IN exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 31 of the Counties Act, 1908, the Egmont County Council, on the petition of the requisite majority of the ratepayers of the Parihaka Road District possessing not less than one-half of the rateable property therein, resolves by way of special order and declares that the Road Board of that district be dissolved, and that the Parihaka Road District be merged in the County of Egmont, and that this special order shall take effect from the 31st day of March, 1919.

The common seal of the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Egmont was hereunto affixed this 11th day of March, 1919, in the presence of—

I, William Ralston Wright, Chairman of the Egmont County Council, do hereby certify that the above special order was duly made and passed at a special meeting of the said Council held on Tuesday, the 11th day of February, 1919, publicly notified as required by section 97 (c) of the Counties Act, 1908, and duly confirmed at a special meeting of the Council held the 11th day of March, 1919.

Notice respecting Proposed Mangawara River District, Counties of Waikato, Ohinemuri, and Piako.

IT is hereby notified that a petition has been presented to His Excellency the Governor-General, under the River Boards Act, 1908, and its amendments, praying that the area described in the Schedule hereto may be constituted a river district under the said Acts, by name the Mangawara River District. All persons affected are hereby called upon to lodge any written objections to or petitions against the constitution of the said river district which they desire to lodge within one month from the first publication of this notice, such objections or petitions to be addressed to the Minister of Internal Affairs, Wellington.

DESCRIPTION OF BOUNDARIES OF THE PROPOSED MANGAWARA RIVER DISTRICT.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, starting from the junction of the common boundary of Sections 445 and 456, Taupiri Parish, with the Waikato River; thence along the western and northern boundary of Section 481; thence along the western and northern boundaries of Section 481; thence along the western and northern boundaries of Sections 455 (crossing of road), 469, and 470; thence along the north-western boundary of Sections 471, 450A, 450B, 450C, and 451; thence due north to the boundary between Blocks IX and XIII, Hapuakohe Survey District; thence due west along that block-line to the boundary between Blocks XII, Rangiriri, and IX, Hapuakohe Survey Districts, intersecting with a line from the northern corner of Section 196 through Pukemore Trig. No. 676A; thence easterly to the north-western corner of Section 196; thence along the northern boundary of Sections 196, 194, and 193 to the road forming the eastern boundary of the last-mentioned section; thence along and across that road to the junction of road intersecting part Section 465; thence along that road to its termination on the frontage of Section 177; thence by a right line to the southern boundary of Section 208; thence along the southern boundary of Section 208, across a road, and the southern boundary of Section 207, across road, along that road, and across road forming the southern boundary of Section 307; thence along the road forming the western boundary of Section 307, across a road, and along the road forming the western boundary of Section 489, across a road, and thence along the road forming the western boundary of Sections 232, 231, 230, 229, and 512; thence along the northern boundary of Sections 512, 490, across a road, and thence along the western boundary of Sections 404, 399, 398, 402, and 403; thence along the north-western boundary of Section 403; thence along the road forming the eastern boundary of Sections 403, 402, 398, 399, 404, across a road, and along the western boundary of Sections 406, 444, and 347; thence along the road intersecting Section 474C, across that road, and along the northern boundary of Sections 440 and 474B to its easternmost corner; thence along the eastern boundary of the last-mentioned section to the intersection of roads; thence easterly along the Tahuna Road to intersection of boundary of Hoe-o-Tainui North 5A North 2E and 2D; thence along that line and the northern boundary of 2E to the western boundary of Hoe-o-Tainui 6B 2E 2, along that line, and the western and northern boundaries of 6B 2G 5; thence along the eastern boundary of the last-mentioned section and the eastern boundary of 6B 2F and 6B 2B to and across the Tahuna Road; thence along that road to the eastern boundary of Sections 6 and 7, Block VIII, Hapuakohe Survey District; thence along the southern boundary of Section 8 to the road forming the western boundary of the last-mentioned section; thence along that road to the north-western corner of Section 9, Block VIII, Hapuakohe Survey District; thence along the northern boundary of Sections 9 and 4 and the eastern boundary of Sections 10 and 11; thence along the southern boundaries of Sections 2 and 13, Blocks VIII and V, to Trig. Te Ranga; thence south along the western boundary of Sections 1A and 1B, Hoe-o-Tainui North, and Sections 1 and 2, Block IX, Waitoa Survey District; thence along northern and eastern boundary of Hoe-o-Tainui South No. 4, and by the north-eastern boundary of Crown land and of 4B 1B, and the western boundary of 4B 1B, again by Hoe-o-Tainui No. 4 to confiscation-line; thence south along that line to the Tauhei-Morrinsville Road, along that road to the boundary between Lots 3 and 4, Block I, Maungakawa Survey District; thence along the western boundary of Lot 3 to drain reserve; thence along that reserve to the easternmost corner of Section 1; thence along the eastern boundary of the last-mentioned section to road, across road, thence westerly along that road to the north-western corner of Section 10, L.T. 3458A; thence southerly along the road forming the western boundary of Sections 10, 9, and part Motumacho No. 1; thence westerly along the southern boundary of Lot 1 on L.T. plan 4952A to confiscation-line; thence north along the confiscation-line to the northern boundary of Section 10 on L.T. plan 5548A; thence along the northern boundary of Lots 10, 5, 4, 3, and 2 on L.T. plan 5548A; thence by the northern boundaries of Sections 5, 4, 3, 2, 6, and 1 on L.T. plan 6454A; thence along the western boundary of part Lot 1 on L.T. plan 7344 to Tauhei Road, across that road, thence along the western boundary of Lot 9 on L.T. plan 5402A, and west along the western boundary of Lots 2 and 1 on L.T. plan 7795; thence along the western boundary of part Lot 2 on L.T. plan 7768; thence along the western boundary of Lots 2 and 1 on L.T. plan 6632; thence along the northern boundary of Lot 5, L.T. plan 5021A; thence northerly along the eastern boundary of Sections 174 and 171 to Taupiri-Orini Road; thence by the north-western boundaries of Sections 170 and 171; thence to and along the south side of road intersecting Sections 172, 173, 175, 335, and 449, and its continuation to the south bank of the Wangamire Creek, along that creek to the south bank of the Mangawara Creek, along south bank of that creek to the Waikato River, and along northern bank of that river to the place of commencement.
