HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to approve of the appointments, promotions, and transfers of the undermentioned officers on active service with the N.Z. Expeditionary Force, vide List No. 80, N.Z.E.F. Orders.
AUCKLAND MOUNTED RIFLES.
Captain G. Hovey is granted the temporary rank of Major while holding the appointment of D.A.A.G., N.Z.E.F. (U.K.). Dated 15th November, 1918.
CANTERBURY MOUNTED RIFLES.
Captain T. L. Gibbs is seconded for duty at Headquarters, N.Z.E.F., in Egypt. Dated 24th August, 1918.
WELLINGTON MOUNTED RIFLES.
2nd Lieutenant F. W. Mothes, from being seconded for duty as Assistant Officer in Charge Records, London, is placed on the N.Z. Roll. Dated 8th December, 1918.
Lieutenant P. C. Rose, from being seconded for duty to England, remains seconded for duty to New Zealand. Dated 8th December, 1918.
Captain E. H. Beamish relinquishes the appointment of Adjutant, N.Z. Discharge Depot, but remains seconded for duty as E.S.O. (A.) at N.Z.E.F. Headquarters, London. Dated 9th December, 1918.
OTAGO MOUNTED RIFLES.
Lieutenant A. S. Herbert, M.C., is placed on the N.Z. Roll. Dated 8th December, 1918.
9/1651, S.S.M. R. W. Baumgart to be 2nd Lieutenant, and is seconded for duty as Chief Clerk, N.Z.E.F. Administrative Headquarters, to complete Establishment. Dated 14th December, 1918.
Lieutenant P. J. R. Fordham is granted the temporary rank of Captain whilst employed as Quartermaster, N.Z. Discharge Depot. Dated 7th December, 1918.
N.Z. CYCLIST BATTALION.
Lieutenant E. H. Blomfield, M.C., discharged in England at his own request, is struck off the strength of the N.Z.E.F. Dated 12th December, 1918.
Lieutenant-Colonel C. H. D. Evans, D.S.O., appointed to Command XXII Corps Mounted Troops, retains command of the N.Z. Cyclist Battalion. Dated 11th December, 1918.
Captain H. D. McHugh, M.C., to be Major and to be Second in Command of the N.Z. Cyclist Battalion. Dated 11th December, 1918.
N.Z. FIELD ARTILLERY.
Major R. A. Wilson, R.G.A., returning to British Army, is struck off the strength of the N.Z.E.F. Dated 28th October, 1918.
Captain F. W. Reed is placed on the N.Z. Roll. Dated 4th December, 1918.

Lieutenant (temp. Captain) G. E. Archev relinquishes the appointment of Divisional Educational Officer, N.Z. Division, but remains seconded for educational duty, and retains the temporary rank of Captain whilst so employed. Dated 21st November, 1918.
Lieutenant A. J. Flett performed the duties of Adjutant, 1st Brigade, N.Z.F.A., vice Lieutenant (Acting Captain) G. B. Parkinson, R.N.Z.A., from 11th November, 1918, to 19th November, 1918, inclusive.
Major C. Sommerville to be Lieutenant-Colonel, vice Lieutenant-Colonel I. T. Standish, C.M.G., D.S.O., R.N.Z.A. (seconded for duty to New Zealand), and to command a N.Z.F.A. brigade. Dated 23rd October, 1918.
2nd Lieutenant A. J. Ridler to be Staff Lieutenant to G.O.C., N.Z.E.F., in United Kingdom, to complete Establishment, and is granted the temporary rank of Lieutenant whilst so employed. Dated 14th December, 1918.
2/123, S.S.M. F. S. Cooper to be 2nd Lieutenant, and is appointed Secretary to the N.Z.E.F. Board for Disposal of Surplus War Material, and is seconded whilst so employed. Dated 4th December, 1918.

(granted temporary rank of Major), to date 16th November, 1918, and relinquishes the temporary rank on resumption of duties of Second in Command by Lieutenant (temp. Captain) A. E. Esquilant, M.C. Dated 6th December, 1918.
2nd Lieutenant (temp. Captain) H. E. Wright relinquishes the temporary rank of Captain on ceasing to act as Second in Command of a battery. Dated 1st December, 1918.
N.Z. ENGINEERS.
Field Companies.
Major F. W. Skelsey, having been withdrawn from the Ordnance Course which he was attending, ceases to be seconded. Dated 14th December, 1918.
Signal Services.
Lieutenant L. Moritzson, M.C., M.M., having returned to England, ceases to be seconded for duty to New Zealand. Dated 5th December, 1918.

Major H. Vickerman, D.S.O., performed the duties of Controller of Mines, 3rd Army, from 2nd October, 1918, to 2nd November, 1918.
Captain L. B. Campbell, M.C., temporarily commanded the company from 31st August, 1918, to 6th September, 1918, and from 10th October, 1918, to 18th October, 1918, vice Major H. Vickerman, D.S.O., acting as Controller of Mines, 3rd Army, and on leave.
Captain J. D. Holmes temporarily commanded the company from 7th September, 1918, to 9th October, 1918, vice Major H. Vickerman, D.S.O., acting as Controller of Mines, 3rd Army, and on leave.
AUCKLAND REGIMENT.
