2nd Lieutenant Norman Brindley is posted to the Retired List with the rank of Lieutenant, under the provisions of paragraph 35E, N.Z. Expeditionary Force Regulations, 1916. Dated 6th January, 1918.

Honorary Lieutenant Stanley Luscombe Searell relinquishes the appointment of Assistant Paymaster on N.Z. Transports, and the honorary rank of Lieutenant whilst so employed, dated 28th February, 1919, and is struck off the strength of the N.Z. Expeditionary Force from the same date.

Honorary 2nd Lieutenant (temp.) James Ernest Reid relinquishes the honorary rank of 2nd Lieutenant on ceasing to be employed with Featherston Camp Canteen. Dated 14th January, 1919.

With reference to the notice published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 135, of 3rd October, 1918, relating to Honorary Lieutenant Ernest James Browning, after the word “Lieutenant” insert “temporary.”

N.Z. EXPEDITIONARY FORCE.

Major Athelstan Moore, D.S.O., Royal Dublin Fusiliers, promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel on 29th December, 1914, was struck off the strength on rejoining the British Army. Dated 25th August, 1916.

2nd Lieutenant Bertram Gibbons, N.Z. Rarotongan Company, is granted the temporary rank of Lieutenant, under provisions of N.Z. Expeditionary Force Regulation 13. Dated 31st December, 1918.
