Appointments, Promotions, Resignations, and Transfers of Officers of the N.Z. Staff Corps and Territorial Force.

HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to approve of the appointments, promotions, resignations, and transfers of the undermentioned officers of the N.Z. Staff Corps and Territorial Force.
APPOINTMENTS.
Captain (temp. Major) Ferdinand August Wood, M.C., N.Z. Staff Corps, relinquishes the appointment of Mounted Rifles Instructor, Featherston Camp, as from the 15th January, 1919, and is appointed Group Commander (temp.) No. 1 Group, dated 25th January, 1919, and retains the temporary rank of Major whilst so employed.
Lieutenant Edward Talbot Rowlings, N.Z. Staff Corps, is appointed Group Commander (temp.) No. 7 Group, and is granted the temporary rank of Captain whilst so employed. Dated 26th January, 1919.
Lieutenant-Colonel David Storer Wylie, C.M.G., M.B., N.Z. Medical Corps (N.Z.E.F.), is granted the temporary rank of Colonel whilst holding the appointment of Consulting Surgeon in Special Military Surgery, N.Z. Military Forces. Dated 20th January, 1919.
Major John Hastings Chisholm, Queen Alexandra’s 2nd Wellington West Coast Mounted Rifles, vacates the appointment of Area Officer, Oamaru, and is appointed Group Commander (temp.) No. 16 Group. Dated 25th September, 1918.
Staff Quartermaster-Sergeant Frederick Alfred Brownjohn is granted the temporary rank of Lieutenant in the Unattached List (b), General List, whilst holding the appointment of Officer in Charge, Stores Branch of the Director of Railways and Works. Dated 1st November, 1918.
Major Thomas Haslett Ringland, Reserve of Officers, 9th (Hawke’s Bay) Regiment, relinquishes the appointment of Group Commander No. 7 Group. Dated 26th January, 1919.
Major Henry Jolly, 3rd (Auckland) Mounted Rifles, relinquishes the appointment of Group Commander No. 1 Group. Dated 25th January, 1919.
Major (temp.) Daniel James Sweetzer, relinquishes the appointment of Camp Adjutant, Trentham Camp, and is appointed Camp Commandant, Trentham. Dated 7th January, 1919.
Captain George Myers, 8th (Southland) Regiment, relinquishes the appointment of Assistant Adjutant-General, Otago Military District. Dated 28th February, 1919.
The undermentioned relinquish the appointment of Attesting Officer under the Military Service Act, 1916 :—
Lieutenant (temp. Captain) Charles White Mellor, Reserve of Officers, 5th (Wellington) Regiment, and relinquishes the temporary rank of Captain whilst so employed. Dated 7th December, 1918.
Lieutenant Bernard Russell Lankshear, 5th (Wellington) Regiment. Dated 30th November, 1918.
2nd Lieutenant Patrick Gilbert Forde, Unattached List (b), General List. Dated 28th December, 1918.
2nd Lieutenant George Edgar Henderson Garden, 4th (Otago) Regiment. Dated 28th January, 1919.
Lieutenant George Nelson Moffatt, Unattached List (b), General List, performed the duties of Attesting Officer under the Military Service Act, 1916, from 24th January, 1917, to 31st December, 1918.
Lieutenant (temp. Captain) Stanley Mexham Dixon vacates the appointment of Group Commander No. 20 Group, and is appointed Area Officer (temp.) No. 20 Group. Dated 3rd February, 1919.
