HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to approve of the appointments, promotions, and transfers of the undermentioned officers on active service with the N.Z. Expeditionary Force, vide List No. 76, N.Z. E.F. Orders.
N.Z. FIELD ARTILLERY.
The undermentioned cease to be seconded for duty to New Zealand. Dated 4th October, 1918:—

Captain S. Boscawen is seconded for duty to New Zealand. Dated 30th September, 1918.
Lieutenant (Acting Captain) W. J. Hicks, M.M., from Adjutant, N.Z.D.A.C., to be Adjutant, N.Z.F.A. Reserve Depot, vice Captain R. McPherson, M.C. Dated 10th October, 1918.
Lieutenant A. R. Jacobson to command a medium trench-mortar battery, vice Lieutenant L. S. Carmichael, M.C., and is granted the temporary rank of Captain whilst so employed. Dated 24th September, 1918.
Lieutenant F. C. Soar to be Captain, vice Captain S. Boscawen, seconded for duty to New Zealand. Dated 30th September, 1918.
The undermentioned to be Lieutenants, under provisions of N.Z.E.F. Regulation 13. Dated 3rd October, 1918:—

2nd Lieutenant L. E. Grimstone (since killed in action).
Lieutenant (temp. Captain) W. Pollard relinquishes the command of a company of an entrenching battalion, but retains the temporary rank of Captain whilst employed as O.C. of a section of the D.A.C., vice Captain S. Boscawen, to England on duty. Dated 1st October, 1918.
The undermentioned are granted the temporary rank of Major, from dates shown:—

Lieutenant C. Boswell, M.C., is granted the temporary rank of Captain, vice Captain H. P. Warnock, granted temporary rank of Major. Dated 29th September, 1918.
Lieutenant D. McG. Reid is granted the temporary rank of Captain, vice Lieutenant H. R. Kirker, relinquished temporary rank of Captain, to date 30th September, 1918; and relinquishes the temporary rank on ceasing to act as Second in Command of a battery. Dated 11th October, 1918.
N.Z. ENGINEERS.
Field Companies.
Lieutenant A. O. Glasse, M.C., is seconded for duty to New Zealand. Dated 15th October, 1918.
Lieutenant H. M. Clark, having been declared by a Medical Board to be unfit for general service within twelve months, is seconded, under provisions of N.Z.E.F. Regulation 34. Dated 10th September, 1918.
Captain F. C. Wilson, proceeding overseas, relinquishes the appointment of Adjutant, N.Z. Engineer Reserve Depot. Dated 4th October, 1918.
Lieutenant T. W. Dollimore to be Adjutant, N.Z. Engineer Reserve Depot, vice Captain F. C. Wilson, and is granted the acting rank of Captain whilst so employed. Dated 8th October, 1918.
Lieutenant (temp. Captain) T. W. Dollimore relinquishes the temporary rank of Captain on ceasing to act as Second in Command of a field company. Dated 8th October, 1918.
Lieutenant (temp. Captain) G. V. Russell, M.C., relinquishes the temporary rank of Captain on ceasing to act as Second in Command of a field company. Dated 6th October, 1918.
Signal Services.
Lieutenant (temp. Captain) J. W. Melville is taken on strength with seniority as a Lieutenant from 7th October, 1917, and retains the temporary rank of Captain granted him on 1st January, 1918, and is seconded for training with a British formation. Dated 18th September, 1918.
2nd Lieutenant S. Hearn to be Lieutenant, vice Lieutenant F. C. Hubbard, M.C., seconded under provisions of N.Z. E.F. Regulation 34. Dated 14th September, 1918.
Tunnelling Company.
Lieutenant G. H. McMeeking is transferred to Wellington Regiment. Dated 7th October, 1918.
Light Railway Operating Company.
2nd Lieutenant G. S. Bishop, N.Z. Rifle Brigade, having been declared by a Medical Board to be unfit for general service within twelve months, ceases to be attached to the company. Dated 8th October, 1918.

Captain A. W. Short ceases to be seconded for duty to New Zealand. Dated 4th October, 1918.
Lieutenant (temp. Captain) C. Oxenham, M.C., relinquishes the appointment of O.C. of a light trench-mortar battery and the temporary rank of Captain, and ceases to be seconded. Dated 24th September, 1918.
Captain R. J. Derrom is placed on the N.Z. Roll. Dated 24th September, 1918.
