Lands temporarily reserved in the Auckland, Wellington,
Marlborough, and Southland Land Districts.
LIVERPOOL, Governor-General.
WHEREAS by the three-hundred-and-twenty-first
section of the Land Act, 1908, it is enacted that
the Governor-General may from time to time, either by
general or particular description, and whether the same has
been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, not-
withstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral
license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required
for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned :
And whereas by the sixty-ninth section of the Land for
Settlements Act, 1908, it is further provided that the Governor-
General may from time to time, as he thinks fit, set aside
reserves for any specified public purpose out of land acquired
under the last-mentioned Act, provided that no land so
acquired shall be set aside for endowments :
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl
of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of
New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and
authorities conferred upon me by the said Acts, do hereby
temporarily reserve from sale the lands in the Auckland,
Wellington, Marlborough, and Southland Land Districts
described in the Schedule hereunder written, for the purposes
in the said Schedule specified at the end of the respective
descriptions of the lands so intended to be temporarily reserved.
SCHEDULE.
AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by
admeasurement 1 acre 2 roods 16 perches, more or less, being
Section 33, Block XVI, Kawakawa Survey District. Bounded
towards the north-east by Section 7, Kawakawa Suburbs,
320 links; towards the east by a public road, 517·3 links;
towards the south by Section 34, Block XVI aforesaid,
267·1 links; and towards the west by the last-mentioned
Section 34 and Section 31, Block XVI aforesaid, 684·4 links.
Also all that area in the Auckland Land District, containing
by admeasurement 2 acres, more or less, being part of Sec-
tion 12, Suburbs of Kawakawa, and part of Section 28,
Block XVI, Kawakawa Survey District. Bounded towards
the north by Section 10 and other part of Section 12, Suburbs
of Kawakawa, 352·2 links; towards the north-east by other
part of Section 28, Block XVI aforesaid, and other part of
Section 12, Suburbs of Kawakawa aforesaid, 141·4 links;
towards the south-east and east by a public road, 63·2 and
332·5 links respectively; towards the south by a public
road, 400 links; and towards the west by a public road,
500 links.
Be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same are
delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/6/89, deposited
in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at
Wellington, and thereon edged purple. (Auckland Plans
13503, 18762, and 20034.) For a site for a public school.
All that area in the Auckland Land District, containing
by admeasurement 1 acre 2 roods 21 perches, more or less,
being Sections 4 and 5, Block LVII, Rotorua Town. Bounded
towards the north-east by the Auckland—Rotorua Railway
Reserve, 542·6 links; towards the south-east by Tarewa
Road, 400·4 links; towards the south-west by Section 3,
Block LVII aforesaid, 292·1 links; and towards the north-west
generally by a reserve along the Utuhina Stream, 40·1, 136·1,
172·2, and 167·1 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.
As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/5/53,
deposited in the Head Office, Lands and Survey Department,
at Wellington, and thereon edged red. (Auckland Plan
14041.) For gravel purposes.
WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.
All that area in the Wellington Land District, containing
by admeasurement 5 acres 1 rood 4 perches, more or less,
being Sections 25s and 26s, Tiraumea Settlement. Bounded
towards the north-west by Section 3s, towards the north-east
by Section 27s, towards the south-east by a public road, and
towards the south-west by Section 24s, all in Tiraumea
Settlement aforesaid. As the same is delineated on the plan
marked L. and S. 21/37A, deposited in the Head Office, De-
partment of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon
edged green. For a site for a public school.
MARLBOROUGH LAND DISTRICT.
All that area in the Marlborough Land District, containing
by admeasurement 2 acres, more or less, being Section 15
(formerly part of Section 1), Block XI, Clifford Bay Survey
District, Starborough Settlement. Bounded towards the
north by the remaining portion of Section 1 aforesaid, 179 and
282·4 links; towards the east by a public road, 472·1 and
83·2 links; and towards the south and west by the remaining
portion of Section 1 aforesaid, 454·1 links and 489·8 links
respectively: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As
the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/6/56,
deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and
Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. For a
site for a public school.
SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT.
All that area in the Southland Land District, containing
by estimation 16,000 acres, more or less, being part of the
West Cape District, and bounded by a line commencing at
a point thirty chains due south of the mouth of a creek which
flows into a small inlet on the south side of Astronomer
Point in Pickersgill Harbour, thence due east for a distance
of forty chains, thence due north to the coast-line of Dusky
Sound, thence easterly along the said coast-line to a point
due north of Mount Sparman, thence due south to Mount
Sparman aforesaid, thence south-westerly to Mount Brad-
shaw, thence due west to the ocean, thence northerly and
north-easterly along the coast-line to a point sixteen chains
west of the point of commencement, thence due south to a
point due west to the commencing-point aforesaid, thence
due east for a distance of sixteen chains to the point of com-
mencement. As the same is delineated on the plan marked
L. and S. 22/2145, deposited in the Head Office, Department
of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged
purple. For an addition to a national park.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General, this twenty-fifth day of February, one
thousand nine hundred and nineteen.

No. 4A Blocks, 651, 534, 550, 1033, 1175, 970, 931, and
3470 links; towards the south by Allotment 101 of the afore-
said Parish of Otai, 8571 links; towards the north-west
generally by a public road 189·3, 440·7, and 360·1 links, by a
quarry reserve 1464·2 links, and by a public road along the
Mangatawhiri River aforesaid 137·7, 252·1, 388·4, 625·4,
784·8, 231·4, 195·1, 373·1, 266·5, 264·1, 414·2, 623·7, 196·9,
372·2, 335·9, 336·1, 437·6, 285, 329·5, 594·6, 231·8, 164·5,
380·5, 296·8, 473·3, 486, 227·4, 985·5, 224·2, 300·5, 888·5,
566·4, 219·6, 169, 563·6, 408·8, 121·8, and 256·3 links: be all
the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated
on the plan marked L. and S. 22/1017A, deposited in the Head
Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and
thereon edged red. For water-conservation purposes.
All that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by
admeasurement 36 acres 0 roods 23 perches, more or less, being
Section 19, Block II, Rangaunu Survey District, commencing
at the southernmost corner of Section 2, Block III, Karakara
Survey District. Bounded towards the north-west by
Sections 2 and 3, Block III, Karakara Survey District, 451·1,
106·8, and 1941 links; towards the north-east by a public
