Special Order made by the Waipukurau County Council merging Purimu Road District.

THE following special order, made by the Waipukurau County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Counties Amendment Act, 1913.

WAIPUKURAУ COUNTY COUNCIL.
Special Order.
IN exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 31 of the Counties Act, 1908, the Waipukurau County Council hereby resolves, by way of special order, as follows :-

That the area hitherto known as portion of the Purimu Road District (and declared to be excluded from the Patangata County by a Proclamation published in the New Zealand Gazette of the 10th October, 1917, and being the area declared to be included in the Purimu Riding of the Waipukurau County by a Proclamation published in the New Zealand Gazette of the 10th day of January, 1918) be merged into the County of Waipukurau, and the said road district be thereby abolished, in accordance with the wishes of a majority of the ratepayers conveyed in a petition presented to this Council.

The alteration hereby made shall take effect on and after the 1st day of April, 1919.

Result of Poll for Proposed Loan.

THE following notice, received from the Chairman of the Raglan County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913.

RAGLAN COUNTY COUNCIL.
Pukemiro Special Rating District.—Loan of £500 for metalling Portion of the Huntly to Pukemiro Road.
PURSUANT to the provisions of section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that the following is the result of a poll of the ratepayers of the Pukemiro Special Rating District taken on the 5th day of February, 1919, on the proposal to borrow the sum of £500 for the purpose of metalling portions of the Huntly to Pukemiro Road.
Total number of valid votes recorded, 24; for the proposal, 23; against the proposal, 1.
The number of valid votes recorded in favour of the proposal being at least three-fifths of the total number of valid votes recorded, I hereby declare the proposal to be carried.

THE following notice, received from the Chairman of the Awakino County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913.

AWAKINO COUNTY COUNCIL.
Notice of Result of Poll on a Proposal to raise a Loan.
PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the Marakopa Riding taken on the 5th day of February, 1919, on the proposal of the Awakino County Council to borrow the sum of £400 for the purpose of maintaining, renewing, and of generally improving the roads in the Marakopa Riding of the County of Awakino, the number of votes recorded for the proposal was 19, and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 3; the number of informal votes recorded was nil.
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

Notice to Imprestees under the Public Revenues Act, 1910.
The Treasury,
Wellington, 27th February, 1919.
EVERY officer holding advances of public money is hereby required to pay to the Public Account, at the nearest branch of the Bank of New Zealand, the unexpended balance of his account on or before Monday, the 31st March proximo, and forthwith to transmit to the Treasury at Wellington the bank receipt for such repayment, together with an account of his expenditure to the same date, as required by clause 5 of the Treasury Regulations.
With regard to disbursements which officers may require to make immediately after the close of the financial year, requisitions for the amount required are to be made in such time as to enable them to reach Wellington not later than the 20th March, so that the requisite funds may be placed at the disposal of the officer as soon after the 1st April as possible. Imprestees are further notified that the usual telegraphic advice of remittances made by the Treasury on 1st April will not be sent. They will therefore require to ascertain from the bank if their imprest accounts have been replenished.

Notice under the Shops and Offices Act, 1908, as to Statutory Closing-day in the Combined District of Invercargill.
NOTICE is hereby given that, in exercise of the powers in this behalf conferred upon me by the Shops and Offices Act, 1908, and in terms of notice in writing duly received by me from the Chairman of the Conference of Delegates of all the local authorities of the Combined District of Invercargill, as constituted for the purposes of that Act, and comprising the Boroughs of Invercargill and South Invercargill, I, William Herbert Herries, Acting Minister of Labour, do hereby appoint Wednesday to be the statutory closing-day for shops in the said Combined District of Invercargill.

Appointing Wednesday as the Statutory Closing-day in the Separate District of the Papakura Town District.
WHEREAS by section 17 of the Shops and Offices Act, 1908, it is enacted that the result of every poll taken in any separate or combined district under the authority of that section shall be notified to the Minister of Labour in the manner therein provided, and the Minister shall thereupon appoint the day determined by the result of such poll as the statutory closing-day for that district:
And whereas the Town Clerk of the Papakura Town District has notified me that the result of the poll taken in the separate district of the Papakura Town District is in favour of Wednesday as the statutory closing-day in that separate district:
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers in this behalf conferred on me by the said section 17, I, William Herbert Herries, Acting Minister of Labour, do hereby appoint Wednesday as the statutory closing-day in the separate district of the Papakura Town District.
