Notice respecting Proposed Alteration of Boundaries, Woodlands Drainage District, County of Piako.

IT is hereby notified that a petition has been presented to His Excellency the Governor-General, under the Land Drainage Act, 1908, praying that the area described in the Schedule hereto may be included in the Woodlands Drainage District. All persons affected are hereby called upon to lodge any written objections to or petitions against the proposed inclusion which they desire to lodge, within one month from the first publication of this notice, such objections or petitions to be addressed to the Minister of Internal Affairs, Wellington.

SCHEDULE.

AREA TO BE INCLUDED IN WOODLANDS DRAINAGE DISTRICT.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, commencing at a point on the boundary between Piako and Waikato Counties where the southern boundary of Lot 1 of a subdivision of Motumaho No. 1 Block, and shown on plan No. 3622, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Auckland, meets the aforesaid boundary; by the southern boundary of Lot 1 aforesaid to and across a road to the south-western corner of Lot 7, shown on L.T. Plan 6823; thence by that road to the south-western corner of Lot 5; thence by the southern and eastern boundaries of that lot and the eastern boundary of Lot 4, shown on L.T. Plan 6823; thence by Lot 9 and a public road to the north-eastern corner of Lot 3, shown on the last-mentioned plan; thence by Lots 1, 5, and 6 of a subdivision of Motumaho No. 2 Block, and that boundary produced to the Frankton-Morrinsville Railway; thence by that railway to a point in line with the south-eastern boundary of Lot 2, shown on D.P. 7012; thence to and by that boundary to the north-eastern corner of Lot 3, shown on D.P. 11933; thence by that lot to the southernmost corner of Lot 2, shown on D.P. 11933; thence by the eastern, southern, and western boundaries of part Lot 1, shown on D.P. 11933, to the southern boundary of Lot 5, shown on D.P. 7012; thence by the southern and western boundaries of that lot and the western boundary produced to the northern side of the Frankton-Morrinsville Railway, and by that railway to the boundary between Piako and Waikato Counties; thence by that boundary to the place of commencement.

Clause 5 of the Schedule to the Lake County Motor By-law (No. 13) disallowed.

Wellington, 24th February, 1919.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me by subsection (2) of section 4 of the Motor Regulation Act, 1908, I, George Warren Russell, Minister of Internal Affairs of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby disallow clause 5 of the Schedule to the by-law known as Lake County Motor By-law (No. 13), made under the said section of the said Act by the Lake County Council on the 17th day of July, 1912, and which came into force on the 28th day of August, 1912; and I do hereby notify for public information that on and after the date of gazetting hereof the road described in the Schedule hereto will in consequence of such disallowance as aforesaid no longer be prohibited for motors.


SCHEDULE.

THAT portion of the road from Arrowtown to Crown Terrace in Lake County known as “Tobin’s Track,” commencing at the west side of the Arrow River (within Lake County) about opposite to Section 36, Block I, Town of Arrowtown, and near the small footbridge across the Arrow River (which road passes through the south-west corner of Section 22, Block X, Shotover Survey District), and terminating at the north-west corner of Section 9, Block X, Shotover Survey District (the top of the hill).

Approval of Fees for Licensing of Vehicles fixed by By-law.—Waitomo County Council.

Wellington, 26th February, 1919.

IT is hereby notified, in accordance with section 107 of the Counties Act, 1908, that so much of the by-law made by the Waitomo County Council, and sealed on the 14th day of February, 1919, as appoints the several sums to be paid to the Waitomo County funds for the licensing of vehicles plying for hire has this day been approved by His Excellency the Governor-General.
